Mr. Speaker´s MLA For a Day is an annual program designed that gives Alberta high school students the chance to find out what it really means to be an MLA.
Students from across Alberta spent spend three days in Edmonton, in and around the site of the Alberta Legislature. In addition to touring the grounds and building, they visited the office of their MLA, and took part in a debate in the Chamber.

Premier Christy Clark announced the appointment of John Martin, MLA for Chilliwack, as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations Steve Thomson.
Martin will work with Thomson to manage Crown land, protect BC’s natural heritage and work with the province's forestry sector.
