The morning of June 18th we were headed east towards that nights stay near Whitehall. We were planning on seeing the Day Gas, but that didn't run, so we fled east to Jens to catch up to the Missoula to Laurel manifest. We checked a goal off the list for the trip here, finally getting an MRL train with the iconic barn.
The Missoula-Laurel freight leans into a curve as it charges eastward after being re-crewed at Livingston.

VH45125 (LJ15JYZ) is seen on the 105 taking pride in being the first ever non-18 plate on the route since RTP took the route over from ML.
To be honest - I thought it wouldn't have been blinded but RTP proved me wrong!

With the helpers tied on to the rear of the train the ML is making short work of the west side of Bozeman Pass.
What a gorgeous morning to be in Montana chasing blue power. Of course the first car had to be one that's been visited by a bunch of assholes with spray cans.
