I have had a great day today, but tonight my emotions ran away with me! Today would have been my sister's 41st birthday! I miss her everyday! She was truely my best friend! Time does heal, but the memories last forever! I loved her and still wish for that chance to say goodbye! We were gonna go see a movie on Saturday, but it didn't happen! Her husband didn't want that divorce, guess he got his wish! I lifetime in jail! :-(

Backlight is light that hits an actor or subject from behind, typically higher than the subject it is exposing. Backlighting an object or actor from the background creates more depth and shape to a subject.

There is a whisper of your presence in my soul.

I still go off to Cauchy's favorite places to look for her and softly call her name. One day I felt such a presence that I stopped in my exact spot and didn't move. She was there but it took me several minutes to figure out that it was her soul, her essence, her spirit that was there and not her body. My skin tingled as I thought and felt she was really there....that is how strong it was. I don't follow any religion. I don't know what happens after death. I think there is some kind of energy that moves on but I could be wrong. I still hope that she will just show up in body one day. For whatever reason I felt that she was with me that day. Maybe to tell me to stop looking. Maybe she is here watching over me. Or maybe I'm a complete fruitcake.

Maybe I woke up from hibernation too early…. winter continues but so strangely mild. There is a polar vortex over Finland, which prevents the snowy cold and beautiful winter from descending upon my forests.

On those rare days when nature shows its winter face and I have no other obligations, I run with my camera into the trees, to walk on snowy paths and roads.
