Captured along a dry riverbed in Rancho Mirage, California. Processed for Sliders Sunday using Deep Dream Generator and Snapseed. HSS everyone!
Out for a drive on a sunny day, we thought we'd seen a mirage out on the waters of Lake Huron. I've never seen a Laker so close to shore and this one seemed to be dancing in and out of the shimmering light and an offshore snow squall. It also seemed to be anchored, which is strange because there is no safe harbor. The red hull suggests a ship from the Canada Steamship Line and the only thing we could think of was that she was waiting for an ice breaker to clear the way ahead - unless it really was a mirage.

The music is certainly ironic here, but I liked to combine it with the mirage.

10th October 2013 - A pair of Mirage 2000N's of the French Airforce taxi out for a sortie at RAF Leeming.
Ce matin, vu les prévisions météo éternellement bleue, je me suis levé plus pour promener le chien que pour faire de la photo, même si un nuage semblait s'approcher sur le site radar. Je n'étais pas optimiste mais les couleurs du lever de soleil, aidé par le reflet sur la marée basse m'ont vite convaincu d'ouvrir mon sac, rendant triste mon chien qui a fini par jouer avec un bernard l'hermite.
