I finally plucked up enough courage to take a train into Liverpool and meet my miracle-man mate, Ian Hughes. We've not laid eyes on each other for three years.
Talking of courage, who can hold a candle to Ian, though?
He fought & beat Covid and he fought & beat Sepsis (twice) - all while worrying & waiting for a suitable organ donor for his essential transplant.
To say today was a great day would definitely be an understatement.

All are made by Penzora (after a request by me ;))but i changed some heads and hairpieces.
The Miracleman Family are the UK version of the DC Captain Marvel Family, original called Marvelman, but after a legal issues with Marvel Comics the name was changed. They was last published 25 years ago,but after a long lawsuit, Marvel Comics finally got the rights and starts reprinting the whole run 2014. Written by Alan Moore and Neil Gaiman the final run of the original series are pioneer to all the modern Superhero stuff, like Watchmen or The Dark Knight returns. Don´t miss the chance to read this stuff, it´s AMAZING!
And, b.t.w. Miracleman was original published by Eclipse Comic´s Warrior magazin, the same magazin who first published V for Vendetta!
Not sure if this is still a thing but since I've been on here for 5 years now and have accumulated many tags over the years, I might as well. So without further ado here are the facts:
1. Just graduated high school and will be going to Art Center College of Design for film. I've been making movies for years now so it's pretty much a dream come true to be attending such an amazing film school for college.
2. Like a lot of you in the community, I have been into Lego since my early youth. I've always seen it as a great opportunity to express my creative side. Taking pictures of my Lego creations is actually what got me into photography as a hobby and I must say, I've come a long way. I use to dream of being the best minifig customizer but I quickly realized that I'm a lot better at taking picture so these days I mainly focus on taking the best possible photos.
3. Raiders of the Lost Ark, Return of the Jedi, The Godfather, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, The Untouchables, and Army of Darkness are a few of my favorite films.
4. Favorite film of last year was the documentary De Palma. Favorite film of this year (so far) has been the three part Netflix documentary Five Came Back. Most anticipated movies for the second half of 2017 is a tie between The Disaster Artist and The Last Jedi. On a side note it really sucks that Lord and Miller were fired from the Han Solo movie...
5. Matt Fraction's Hawkeye, Watchmen, Miracleman, Spider-Man Blue, and Torso are my favorite comicbooks. If you have any recommendations, I'm all ears.
6. Favorite TV shows include: The Twilight Zone, Batman '66 (RIP Adam West), The Office, and Halt and Catch Fire. Stranger Things was pretty dope but it's fandom drives me crazy...
7. My taste in music is quite odd. I often find myself listening to John Williams (Empire Strikes Back, Raiders, and Born on the 4th of July are my favorite), Bernard Herman (Obsession and Taxi Driver are my favorite), Ennio Morricone (The Untouchables and The Hateful Eight are my favorite), The Doors, Queen, and a lot of synthwave.

With the popularity around Crazy Brick's "Anonymous" heads (www.flickr.com/photos/32482342@N05/10586825603/), I'd thought I'd share not only one of the best comics ever written: the Alan Moore and Neil Gaiman penned Miracleman.
While other titles (V for Vendetta, The Dark Knight Returns, Watchmen) are always name checked when it comes to introducing deeper and darker themes to superhero comics, Miracleman is not only where the trend started but is easily the equal (if not superior) of those works. Dark, complex, challenging, beautiful, frightening, and awe-inspiring, there's little that modern "gods amongst us"-type stories bring to bear that Miracleman didn't explore already, often in more shockingly honest and intriguing ways.
One issue about Miracleman: due to right issues that are legend, it's not (officially) available in any (cheap) way. That said, if you let your fingers do the walking, it should be relatively easy to find copies of all the issues.

Another sort-of downer: due to said rights issues, the story hasn't been completed. Thus, the storyline just sort of drifts off without any clear ending. Still, there's no unresolved cliffhangers, so it's more a case of wishing there was more for how great the book is which to me isn't quite as frustrating.
Oh, and it's horrifically, shockingly, and beautifully graphic at moments, including a childbirth sequence straight out of health class (is that still a thing?) and a supervillain's attack on London that you can never unsee but might wish you could.
KIMOTA!
UPDATE: Apparently the rights issues have FINALLY been resolved and reprints are on the way . . . not to mention brand new stories, including the long lost issue #25!
