"The child must know that he is a miracle, that since the beginning of the world there hasn't been, and until the end of the world there will not be, another child like him."

-Pablo Casals

When Miracle came to us we had three other cats. Now, two years later she is the only cat in the house. As much as she loves playing and hunting outside we are forced to keep her as an indoor cat due to the coyote family that lives behind our house.

Symbolic window representing the miracles of Christ, through the suggestion of a germinating seed, the miracle of life; one of a sequence of contemporary abstract windows created by Chris Lund of Coventry.

St David's church in the Broom Leys / Greenhill area of suburban Coalville was built in 1965 to replace a much smaller wooden structure (now used as the church hall). It is a good example of a modern church, square in plan but transformed into a diamond by having the main axis on the diagonal.

Several abstract stained glass windows were installed in the church to commemorate the Millennium in 2000.

Jeffre gave Eden "Miracle Fruit" as a Christmas present, which is a berry (in dried form) which blocks the sour receptors on your tongue for an hour or so, strikingly changing the taste of tart foods. Here we gathered some sample foods together to test it out.

Canterbury Cathedral, early 1200s

Detail of one of twelve six-metre tall windows that surround the area at the east end of Canterbury Cathedral where Becket's shrine was once placed. Known as the 'miracle windows', they tell the story of his life, death and the miracles he performed. This window, the fifth in the series, shows the myriad ways that Saint Thomas intervened in the lives of ordinary people.

When we lived in NY we would go and enjoy the shows, and I got lots of photos of these wonderful old aircraft. I shot these on film with a Nikon N80 and I'm just now getting around to scanning some of them. I hope you enjoy them, too; I love these old aircraft!

If you ever get a chance to go and see the shows there...don't miss it!

The biplanes from the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome I shot on film, ISO 400, with a Nikon N80. The photos you see in my set, "Biplanes," are scans from the original photos, not the negatives, which turned out to give the planes a grainy, authentic, old-timey look.

All other biplanes were shot digitally with my Nikon D3000.

"At that time: There was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus also was invited to the wedding with his disciples. When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, ‘They have no wine.’ And Jesus said to her, ‘Woman, what does this have to do with me? My hour has not yet come.’ His mother said to the servants, ‘Do whatever he tells you.’

Now there were six stone water jars there for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding seventy or one hundred litres. Jesus said to the servants, ‘Fill the jars with water.’ And they filled them up to the brim. And he said to them, ‘Now draw some out and take it to the master of the feast.’ So they took it. When the master of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom and said to him, ‘Everyone serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then the poor wine. But you have kept the good wine until now.’

This, the first of his signs, Jesus did at Cana in Galilee, and manifested his glory. And his disciples believed in him."

The post office, established May 16, 1912, was named after a local family. The current postmaster married into the Miracle family. The post office is the only thing in the community that goes by that name.

Years ago, a friend took me up a mountain to show me a tiny fungi that had grown at the bottom of a tree. He had to push the ferns away. I walked in many forests as a child growing up on the Garden Route, never had I thought to stop and gently brush away the undergrowth or ferns in order to see a miracle at the foot of a giant tree.

The miracle forest in this shot, was part of a recent film location scouting. It was so nice to smell the forest floor again, to drink from the pepsi pool water (another shot for another day) and to re-live my childhood memories.

How many miracles have you discovered in nature? Creation is a miracle.

I took Suna to the beach today -- isn't she a cutie?

I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to keep her name as Suna... I might actually call her "miracle" for good :)

Life's a miracle... and this is not meant in any religious way. Llife is way beyond man, hence, it exceeds and rises above any superstitious beliefs created by feeble and terrified minds which are unable to deal with its boundaries...death! www.youtube.com/watch?v=ugzE3f8amas

From about 1975, I'd say, judging from the attractions that are there and the ones not there yet. Tim Hollis will have to take a look.

At midnight when the eighth child was born, the guards fell fast asleep and Vasudeva's chain fell off his hands and feet. Wasting no time, Vasudeva picked up the newborn baby, and carrying it in a basket, he started towards Gokul. Gokul was a village of cowherds, located across the Yamuna river, where his friend Nanda lived.

It was a dark stormy night with blinding rain continuously pouring from the sky. When Vasudeva reached the river bank of Yamuna, the river was in spate. The wind and storm were blowing wild, and Vasudeva was in a fix.

"Lord, what should I do," said Vasudeva in a hopeless voice.

Suddenly a miracle happened, the river parted and Vasudeva walked over the river bed. Throughout the way Vasudeva and the baby were protected from rain by the hood of the great eternal snake, Vasuki. Finally, Vasudeva reached Nanda's house.

Thus goes the Legend of Lord Krishna's birth.

The most astonishing thing about miracles is that they happen.

I adore butterflies -- each one is a reminder that miracles happen everyday! Scientists still do not understand the metamorphasis that takes place inside the chrysalis .. miracles do not have to be understood, they just need to be appreciated.
