This tough elder lady is Milva, a twelve years old dog from Italy. She came from a dog shelter to us, she suffers from arthrosis. But she is a cute buddy and will have the last years together with us and our furry pack :)

Milva (* 17. Juli 1939 als Maria Ilva Biolcati in Goro; † 23. April 2021 in Mailand) war eine italienische Sängerin und Schauspielerin. Sie sang in mehreren Sprachen – darunter Deutsch – und war auch international erfolgreich. Sie trug den Beinamen La Rossa („die Rote“).

Eine herb-charmante musikalische Hommage an den STUMMFILM mit amüsanten Biografien und Skandalen. Aufgeblättert werden Stärken und Schwächen der damaligen Stars wie ASTA NIELSEN, ALLA NAZIMOVA, POLA NEGRI, GLORIA SWANSON, JEAN HARLOW, TALLULAH BANKHEAD, LOUISE BROOKS, GRETA GARBO, MARION DAVIES, JOAN CRAWFORD.
Dabei geht Dita Rita Scholl auch auf die Zeit des Übergangs vom STUMMFILM zum TONFILM ein, was für viele damals das Karriereende bedeutete. Ausführlich berücksichtigt wird auch das Thema “Besetzungscouch”, das eine große Rolle im Filmgeschäft spielte. Auch die sexuelle Orientierung der Stars und Sternchen kommt nicht zu kurz!

A tart and charming musical homage to silent film with amusing biographies and scandals. The strengths and weaknesses of the stars of the time such as ASTA NIELSEN, ALLA NAZIMOVA, POLA NEGRI, GLORIA SWANSON, JEAN HARLOW, TALLULAH BANKHEAD, LOUISE BROOKS, GRETA GARBO, MARION DAVIES and JOAN CRAWFORD are revealed.
Dita Rita Scholl also deals with the transition from STUMM FILM to SOUND FILM, which meant the end of the career for many at that time. The topic of the "cast couch", which played a major role in the film business, is also covered in detail. The sexual orientation of the stars and starlets is not neglected either!
