I609 sits crew-less at Miles on the main track in Flomaton, Alabama. Q572 had broken down the night before in Mobile causing 5 or 6 trains to go on the law up and down the M&M.
Growing up and living on the Naramata Bench most of my life the place to be on a hot summer day was down at Three Mile Beach.

Coach Miles' rare Mercedes Benz OC500 MCV Evolution - ex Sargeants VX12 FBO - is seen at Basingstoke yesterday morning, 9th January, 2021, whilst operating the rail replacement service to Micheldever and Winchester. Stagecoach South Dennis Trident 18194 (MX54 LRE) awaits a direct service.
This isn't the greatest photo of the two of them, but it is the first photo of the two of them together. They are here with Rod and I now. 🐈
Spotted this milestone on the A30, illuminated brilliantly in the afternoon light.
Unlike many, it is not listed, but one two miles away is and these probably date from around 1743. However, some of these on the old turnpike here, were moved about and re-engraved, so we can really only say it is pretty old!

Taken on the Old Seven Mile Bridge next to Marathon in the Keys.
I began driving all the way from Key West racing through traffic as fast as possible to take this picture. It was quite the adventure.

The Mile Dorcha, or Dark Mile towards Loch Arkaig is a deeply wooded section of road in a valley, flanked by walls and trees carrying a tremendous thickness of moss.
The few remaining remnants of a once proud Iowa farm.It is located near tiny Miles,IA.

45699 'Galatea' running as 45627 'Sierra Leone' and 45562 tackles Miles Platting's 1 in 47 with the Railway Touring Company's 'The Peaks Express'. This ran with the reporting number 1Z53 working the charter from Preston through to Derby.
I always like taking road shots especially when you can stand in the middle of the road. This was a cool road to do it on because I could pretty much take as long as I wanted as there were hardly any cars on it and even if there was one I could see it miles before it got to me.
Well I'm out of the hospital with a bunch of staples in my stomach so i don't see me doing much laying on the ground soon. I was able to get out with Miles while we were getting some snow earlier this week.

Miles normally will bite me and paw at my face; well, today, he jumped up on my lap... purred, and behaved himself! He was a joy this time.. hoping this will happen more often in the future. 🐈
