the hexy MF is now hand appliqued to the backing fabric and I've started making rosesttes and the odd 'petal' (hex) for the borders.
It's still nowehre near finished and isn't likely to be any time soon - but I'm really enjoying the occasional distraction of this when I'm feeling a bit stressed or grumpy.
Régie autonome des transports parisiens (Autonomous Parisian Transportation Administration, RATP) MF 88 no 88M017 (ANF Industrie, 1990-1992) is the lead motor on a three-car train seen arriving at Louis Blanc station on Line 7bis. Nine of these trainsets were built and nowadays they can only be found on Line 7bis. The trains have a unique wheel arrangement amongst rapid transit rolling stock: the center car has two single axles at each end, and the end motor cars are similar but with an additional guiding wheelset at each end (for a total of 3 axles per car). This experimental design proved to cause a high rate of wear-and-tear, thus increasing maintenance costs.

Die Firma wurde 1907 als Kuribayashi Camera Industry, inc. in Japan gegründet. Nach dem 2. Weltkrieg kamen verschiedene Kamera-Modelle auf den Markt, unter anderem die Petri Penta, eine einäugige Spiegelreflexkamera mit Wechselobjektiven (1959). 1962 wurde der Name in Petri Camera K.K. geändert. Ein Bankrott führte 1977 zum Ende der Firma, doch mit gewerkschaftlicher Mitarbeiterbeteiligung ging es noch ein paar Jahre weiter. Aus dieser Zeit stammt auch die abgebildete MF-2.
Es ist eine erstaunlich kompakte Kamera (136 x 82 x 51 mm) mit einfacher Ausstattung. Der magnetisch gesteuerte Tuch-Schlitzverschluss geht von 4 Sek. bis 1/1000 Sek. und "B". Der bemerkenswert helle Sucher ist mit Schnittbildentfernungsmesser und Mikroprismenring versehen. Die Belichtungsmessung bei Arbeitsblende setzt bei halb gedrücktem Auslöser ein. Am oberen Rand des Suchers wird dann Über-, Unter- oder korrekte Belichtung angezeigt (+ OK –). Der Messbereich erlaubt Filme von 25 bis 3200 ASA. Die Stromversorgung ist auch kein Problem: Benötigt werden zwei der verbreiteten 1,55-V-Silberoxid-Zellen (SR44, V357).
Mit dem M42-Anschluss hat man natürlich (immer noch) eine große Auswahl an Optiken, wobei das Standardobjektiv einen guten Ruf besitzt.
Mamiya 6 MF came with a retraction design on the lens mount, so the lens can retract into the body, make it very compact to carry, relatively ^_^
Mamiya 7 or 7 II which is the successor of Mamiya 6 removed this design to save cost, made Mamiya 6 a unique legend.
