On traverse le temps avec de l'espace
des images glissent
c'est un paysage qui fuit
comme un abandon minuscule
tout y tombe disparait
le ciel devient immense sous ses nuages
les limites sombrent reste ce silence.

I found some old treasures in a little store in Brunswick, Maine! The place was filled with friendly people and items from my past...such a fun memory!
On the wings of a White-winged Dove! Actually the lyrics of the old Ferlin Husky song referred to a Snow White Dove. This nest building dove brought back memories of that great music.
The link between food and memories is quite powerful. My maternal grandmother was my role model for her views of life and her ability to make all people feel welcome in her home. If more people showed up for dinner, she'd smile and welcome them with open arms. One of my culinary loves were the persimmon cookies that she'd bake on cool days in the fall. I can almost taste that pungent sweetness as I write these words. Thank you, Grandma, for a lifetime of love and memories.
