Some of the photos that I post are simply because they contain subjects that are interesting to me. In this image in particular you will see Megan. She is one of the ships in the Space X Fleet.
If you focus your attention to the large shaped cone object behind the hand rail on the lower deck, you will see one of the Pride and Joys of Elon Musk. Its called the Dragon. The Megan ship is designed so that when the space craft comes back from space and make a soft landing in the ocean.
Megan or one of the other shops can go out and pick up the dragon using the black wench you see at the end of the boat. The hydrologic simply pivot the large black archway over the ocean off the back of the boat. A diver hooks a rope to the top of the craft that is connected to the wench. They pull the spacecraft closer and simply lift the craft and then pivot back the arch.
The space craft is then lowered to a little pillow type thing. Just in case you are wondering.... There is a fence that is about halfway up the dragon on the left-hand side in the image. That is where the astronauts depart the Dragon and board the Megan. I love where I live. This was just sitting on port yesterday on the opposite side of where I normally see it. I don't often get to see the Dragon.

Time: Friday evening 5pm, in the rain.
Dream lighting, soft, muted & overcast. Dodging the rain, I searched for overhangs and such to shoot under. It had been raining all day, and I think even for 2 days, so there was a lot of mud to play around in, er I mean, to walk through. Even tho the carnival was "open", we owned it - because of the rain. If you've never shot a beautiful model, at a carnival, in the rain, at dusk, I would highly suggest it:-)

Shot early in the morning at an outdoor shopping center before the stores opened. Megan and I walked around taking random shots wherever it looked interesting and the light looked good. I try to keep things very low-key whenever I shoot a model in a public place like this. No lights, no strobes, no reflectors...just the model and I along with a very small camera and small lens.
The place was mostly deserted at this time except for some of the groundskeepers who were checking out Megan whenever we walked past them. I don't blame them. Megan looked stunning!

Description
The Indigenous Peoples in Canada are an inspirational example of resilience due to their ability to withstand adversity and persevere through generations of oppressive colonial policies. Historic injustices persist, including the effects of cultural genocide from the residential school system of Canada. Here we symbolize bridging the gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Peoples through gathering. Accomplished through the support of the seven grandfather teachings, represented by the seven rings of the installation, that originated with the Anishnabae Peoples, passed down through generations that ensures the survival of all Indigenous Peoples: Wisdom, Love, Respect, Bravery, Honesty, Humility, and Truth. Orange represents the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, and the reality that the support of non-Indigenous Peoples, as Indigenous Peoples assert rights to self-determination, will strengthen relations and begin to redress the historic wrongs. Orange is displayed in the ropes where the pattern pays homage to the creation of drums, where the ropes were weaved to honour culture. The installations flow towards the lifeguard stand reinforces the strengthening of the relationship and that the protection of Canada hinges on the unity between peoples. We aim to symbolize movement to a new relationship, one based on mutual respect that honours Indigenous treaties and rights. The road forward is long and nonlinear, but we commit to take the journey together.

This is my husband's sister, Megan. She is 38 and was diagnosed with MS last year.
