A morning scene in the Broekpolder, Vlaardingen.
The sheep are happily grazing in this amazing maze, which is part of a recently developed playground named Klauterwoud (roughly translates as "climbing forest").

We feel in total communion with Nature, walking in this forest made of a labyrinth of more or less high rocks, various trees and boxwood. It is even difficult to find our way back in this maze of paths more or less narrow.
Claustrophobic, the fact of going in circles without being able to find the exit, triggered a feeling of panic and suffocation. Fortunately, not being alone, I trusted my guide who was able to spot one of the points where we were already went and have normally continued our path.
This forest is in the Municipality of Nébias, in Aude.
The first wave of the storm arrived in the wee hours of the morning with thunder, snow squalls, and continued high winds. The snow covered all except the steepest rock faces and the areas protected by the overhang of White Rim Sandstone. A layer of ice coated many of the rock surfaces as the snow melted initially and then froze. A brief respite in the storm with a few breaks in the clouds after sunrise allowed a view toward the Maze District of Canyonlands NP, including Ekker Butte in the center of the frame.

I took this shot looong ago but until today I wasn't satisfied with the editing : it wasn't easy to render the colors like they were in reality : a subtle mix of orange and red, changing every minutes with the incidence of the sun. Anyway I finally did something that I think is ok, hopefully you'll like it !
Antelope Canyon really is a magical place (especially when you're lucky enough to not be stack in a herd of tourists).
Calm. Quiet. Beautiful. Kind of a shelter keeping you away from the desert sun.
Would you believe me if I said that they were a few litle birds singing in this canyon? The atmosphere combined with those singings was surreal.

From our campsite in the Dollhouse, we took a hike to a site where we could look virtually straight down on the Colorado River. The hike was exhilarating and exhausting, one of the best outings of my life. This is just one of dozens of views worth remembering. A party of four: Jen Bowman, Bill Bowman, Scott Ferrenberg and myself.
Floral maze is part of a play with household plants during lockdown. Christmas Cactus, such pretty colours. Just my take on one.
