Made for the “Matrix Reloaded” film in 2003. Only 5000 units were made. Astounding that Samsung has a replica in its Innovation Museum. (A modified Nokia 8110 was used in the original Matrix film)

I was promised no more curry smell with this new heater matrix fitted. So far so good!

I finally got the combination right. With the help of gimp.

I wasn't sure what to do with the color of this, I just left it alone.

I like it.

My fabulous DIY-dot-matrix birthday card from my brother James (a.k.a. Jimbo Jet Set) in Hong Kong! Thanks James! I particularly love the camera. :-D

Happy birthday to me

Happy birthday to me

Happy birthday dear bitrot

Happy birthday to me!

35 years young today, but I'm sure you'll agree I don't look a day over 34.

Please spare a birthday wish for my identical twin brother and long-time stunt double, Simon, a.k.a. Chubby Bat. Happy Birthday Simon!

And just so he doesn't feel left out, I have another brother, Thom (a.k.a. Trick Kid) whose card made me laugh out loud but is sadly unsuitable for a family audience. ;-) Thanks Thom!

This work is a 8 x 15 array of full-color LEDs, driven by an embedded Linux board. Each LED is addressable, and optical sensors make the work interactive if you touch it. I'm running a digital simulation of the 2-dimensional wave equation. Think of water in the bathtub: it's quiescent when not disturbed. However triggering an optical sensor does the digital equivalent of throwing a rock in a pool: it disturbs the initial conditions, and sends ripples propagating away.

Matrix came in thin, on bad food, with swollen eyelids a previous vet had apparently said was an allergy to grass (he was wrong). His blood sugar was low, too. He was treated for an intestinal issue, which developed into (or revealed itself to be) IBD.

Dr. Wagner did a biopsy of his eyelids and discovered he has histiocytosis. The Wikipedia defines this disease as: The histiocytes may attack skin, bone, muscles, and other important organs, including the liver, lung, spleen, and hematopoietic system. The disease is somewhat similar to cancer. Dr. Wagner said it often ends up in the lungs.

Right now, Matrix has gained weight, has an impressive fluffy coat and is much less wobbly than he was. He's on two eyedrops, prednisolone, special Cat I/D diet (canned and dry), Biosponge, Slippery Elm, pumpkin in his yumyums (our version of duck soup) and lots of hugs and kisses.

It's amazing at how well he's doing. He could conceivably go into foster care if someone were up to his rather hefty regimine.

Despite his issues, he's a very happy boy who enjoys exploring and hiding balls.

The reason he was surrendered was because the daughter went to college and left the ferret with her parents, and the mother was allergic to him. As a result, he was not let out to play more than an hour a day. The previous owners said he liked to lick ears and play in paper bags, cardboard boxes and plastic tubes. They said his favorite toy were plastic cups. They gave him no treats at all. Here at the shelter he gets Ferretone for his treats.
