The Dubai Mall is one of the largest shopping centers in the world. You can spend a whole day strolling through the various themed areas. Perhaps the most interesting parts are the various art pieces and the aquarium. Pictured here is a waterfall in one of the corners of the mall with statues of people skydiving down the waterfall. A very impressive piece of work.
I was at the mall the other day when I had to take my daughter out to the car for a diaper change.I had to go to the car because it was one of those I'm gonna need extra wipes kind of changes.so needless to say I was slightly annoyed at having to stop my shopping. When I stepped out of the mall some guy had his music blasting, probably waiting for his wife annoyed himself.
It was about 7:00 p.m.,we had been shopping for a while,so I decided to look on the bright side of things.I stepped around the corner and was greeted by this spectacular sight.I was instantly in a better mood.I changed my daughter, whew, and got ready to go back to my shopping when I remembered I had my camera in the car.So with my daughter on my hip I snapped this.Using my left hand,it came out a little wobbly, but so worth it.
Just then Mr.Blasting Music's song broke through my moment of photography in the mall parking lot and I heard "Heaven Let Your Light Shine Down".It was so perfect! It totally made my moment. Now being the idiot that i am,I march straight up to Mr.Blasting Music's car,yes carrying a dirty diaper for I was on my way to the trash, and asked him who sang that song.I think we made each others' day.So walking just a bit taller I headed back to my shopping.
So the next time you think there could be no beauty where you are at,just take a look around and let Heaven's light shine down on you.
P.S.To all of my Flickr friends,so sorry I forgot to tell you all my sweet mother-in-law would be visiting over Labor Day so I would be off for a few days.I will try to be by to visit all of you soon!

The mall is in the centre of Rotterdam. But unfortunately (or fortunately), if you go there you might not be able to see the web because the spider is in a parallel space.

Elements (圓方) is a large shopping mall located on 1 Austin Road West, West Kowloon, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It is developed and managed by MTR Corporation through its subsidiary Premier Management Service.
Elements is located directly above the Kowloon MTR station and near the International Commerce Centre, residential complex Union Square and the Western Harbour Crossing.
The mall is divided into five zones based on the concept of the five elements of Nature, namely Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth. Each zone is designed with a distinctive interior architectural theme that responds to the element, public art such as large scale sculptures are also employed to enhance the respective theme. The Fire Zone is symbolised by the sculpture "White Heat".
The Elements has a total of 123 shops as of 2008, along with an ice rink and the 1600-seat Premiere Cinema (formerly The Grand Cinema), currently the largest cinema complex in Hong Kong.
The mall has ten washrooms, outside which there is a lobby with sitting area and magazine rack. Management said these are conceived for men "to wait for their girlfriends outside the washroom", providing "a decent and comfortable place for them to wait".
Male washrooms are stocked with colognes, aftershaves and electronic shavers while the female washrooms have perfumes and make-up. Staff are on hand to ensure that all these personal items are kept hygienic.
The shopping mall has a great emphasis on fashion and wardrobe with (as of 2008) 58 shops in that category out of a total of 123 shops in the mall.
Opened in 1976 by the DeBartolo Corporation, it was the largest mall in the world at that time. It closed in 2009 and is currently being demolished.
