The Magnificent anemone has this fantastic red column. When fully open it can be hard to see.
This patch is at a dive site called appropriately "anemone city" where there are lots of them in one place.
In the 13th/14th centuries there was already a brewery and bakery on the site. In medieval times, the Kiepenkerlviertel district was already a merchant quarter – after all, an “infrastructure” for battling hunger and thirst was essential.
In 1891, the famous Germania brewery was constructed here. Like many other regional breweries, Germania was taken over by a major brewery from Dortmund in the 1980’s and the brewing, which was being done externally by that point, was shut down completely.
The same cannot be said for the former Stammhaus.
In 2012, Klaus Friedrich Helmrich, the owner of the “Holstein Delicatessen” establishments in Münster and his wife Wilma von Westphalen took over Grosser Kiepenkerl to transform it into another version of guest house, so they could realize their vision of a sustainable regional cuisine.
Cheetahs are solitary animals , who live alone, or in two…Males can create a group of more members. They can be very close to humans and have a strong bond with them….
This one you see here, has created a strong bond with her caretaker since she was a baby in the Lion Park of Johannesburg, and also …..with me!! With me, of course, she created a bond within the 10’ I was allowed to cuddle her…I was amazed to see the taken photos of me later, where I was close to her face to face, cuddling her tenderly like a dog! It is true, our energies were especially fulfilling, and we were not afraid of each other…And , I guess, this is the secret of the whole thing…The Love Energy Field!! ❤️
Sanjay takes a walk along the shores of Lake Sangetsar Tso (Altitude approx.12000 feet) near the China border in the state of Arunachal Pradesh in north-east India. There was a biting cold wind and I think my hands must have shaken a bit while taking this shot.:-)This place was really like a piece of heaven.

Here we're standing quayside in Plymouth, Devon - looking across Stonehouse Creek & the River Tamar to yonder shores of Cornwall beyond - the home of Poldark - yes ladies the one with the bare chest & scythe.
This is the English Riviera.
The magnificent building on the left is the Royal William Yard
This used to be a victualling yard (no? - me neither) - a giant grocery store to you & me which kept our Royal Navy stocked with food (& various liquid refreshments of course) - now converted into very grand overpriced flats but with some great thriving restaurants underneath.
HMNB Devonport is still the home of the British Navy & the largest operational naval base in Western Europe.
We are still here & open for business - never mind what stories you may have heard - we still love our European friends & will always be Europeans - but we've just decided to go Global!
Come & visit us now while the pound is still cheap & you get more bang for your buck! :)
Thanks to Everyone who took the trouble to view, comment or fave.
On August 31, 2012 a long filament of solar material that had been hovering in the sun's atmosphere, the corona, erupted out into space at 4:36 p.m. EDT. The coronal mass ejection, or CME, traveled at over 900 miles per second. The CME did not travel directly toward Earth, but did connect with Earth's magnetic environment, or magnetosphere, causing aurora to appear on the night of Monday, September 3.
Picuted here is a lighten blended version of the 304 and 171 angstrom wavelengths. Cropped by NASA

Magnificent hypostyle hall
Magnificent view inside the great hypostyle hall of the Hathor temple in Dendera elaborately decorated and supported by 24 Hathoric sistrum columns and gorgeous wall carvings.
Renowned for its beautifully decorated ceilings, featuring intricate reliefs and astronomical depictions.

The Red Deer stags are known as the Monarchs of the Glen after the painting by Edwin Landseer. This one let me get really close, probably about 10 feet (3 meters) or so, and was certainly one magnificent beauty. The Scottish Highlands rise steeply in the background providing a dramatic backdrop to the encounter.
Our house in Scotland being sold, one week before we move away back to Dinnington, where I grew up and where my family still is including the grandkids, we decided to take one last circuit around Loch Muick, the first place we explored when we moved up 15 years ago. It's still as stunning as ever and I will certainly miss this kind of scenery.
The color and large form of Magnolia blossoms lend themselves to artistic captures, especially when the photographer works to compose and isolate the subject carefully.
Less is more: featured here is just one blossom and one accompanying brach.
Presented in high-key and in Botanical Art style.
Enjoy!

I'm finally back from my journey to Costa Rica.
First of all I want to thank my friend Jan H. Boer, Nature photographer , who arranged everything in advance to make this trip as efficient as possible. We had such a great time even though the Corona Virus Pandemic took over a bit and we were worried if our planes will fly back home. Well, it worked out fine after all and with some stumbling blocks we made it back save and (so far) healthy.
I want to restart with a Lifer to me, the magnificent frigatebird .
I hope all of you are and will stay corona free 🙋♂️
I rather like this one, we were so luck to have some fantastic light River Gwash Ospreys, with the season coming to an end we need to make the most of these amazing birds
