Was there ever a place you could go, when you were a child, where all things came true if you wished hard enough?
This was my special place and it truly was magic.

the magic tree is a 28-foot crab apple tree located south of columbia, missouri. its creator, will treelighter, spends about 120 hours to string the 75,000 lights on its branches.
we've gone to visit it for a few years. each time i see it, i'm caught up in a sense of wonder, like a tiny child again, unaware of my age. it glows from streets away and attracts many families who share in its beauty.
it's a masterpiece of nature and electricity, shining colors in the darkest time of winter.

A most beautiful artwork which formed part of the Surrey Sculpture Society Trail at RHS Wisley.
This is a composite of two of my photos to create the image without people and with the shadow. I have spent a few hours creating other versions of this ... more arty and worked. It's always the way ... I have come back to the first and less worked version!
