Her hooch jacket had sat on the back of a kitchen chair. I was away in June when she decided to get new chairs and a table to supprise me. The old furniture and the jacket were dumped by the garden shed until they could be collected. Somehow the jacket got left behind where I discovered it down the side of the shed about a month ago. I was really annoyed with her as I like this jacket so much. Anyway it's ruined now with green mould growing on it.
Found in a partially demolished garage that backs onto a house where two drug abusing, thieving, prostitute girls live. This was many sizes too big for the girl that wore this. She wore it continually for about 4 years up until about a year and a half ago. Also found the Denim Co long coat in the same location.
This happened at a New Year's party. One of the fireworks fell over and fired a barrage at Sarah. Luckilly she was filming with a video camera which shielded her face. She was wearing a zip up top and a fleece underneath which saved her from getting burnt. The fleece which she just got for Xmas was also ruined! After some photos and a good laugh, the fleece and this jacket were thrown in the bin, from where I rescued it. It's a shame as she would still wear this lovely jacket quite often.
Samantha dressed for work. She always wears short straight or short pleated skirts usually as a suit. I really liked her Hooch nylon bomber jacket and this particular skirt with it's electric blue shiny nylon lining.
I found this dumped on waste ground along with bras, knickers, suspenders, skimpy dresses, mini skirts and tons of makeup. It's a size small and due to the number of business cards lying around, it belonged to one of the girls at the lap dancing bar across the road. When I've got time, I'll go back.
A friend at work used to wear this black Alpha N3B occasionally. A good while back I asked her if I could have it when she'd finished with it. A few weeks ago she was having new fitted wardrobes installed so was clearing out loads of old clothes. When she mentioned it at work, I reminded her about giving me the parka and only just in time. She'd sorted out a few charity bags and had already put it in for donation. I gave her a lift home to collect the parka. She located the bag and I could clearly see a silver one in there too so she gave me that as well! Both are totally as new.
In passing she mentioned the box of clothes she'd just thrown in the wheely bin outside because they were 'past it'.
Of course I had to have a quick look and found the long black down coat.

I went exploring around some old terrace houses that are in the process of being demolished. In one house there was quite a few items of clothing left lying quite neatly on top of a made bed. A note had been left on top of the clothes saying 'To Mr. Lucas, sorry for leaving this clothing, I simply couldn't carry anymore. Please do not forward these to my new address. If I don't collect them by Friday next week, they are old clothes and can be thrown away. Thanks Joanne.'
This is another great save, other than a couple of missing buttons, it's in great condition.
Earlier this month, I'd been round to a local Conservative club for a full week and a half delivering some supplies. The landlady was wearing this fantastic long version of these Diesel parkas. I'd never seen one before so I marvelled at it. Everyday I was there I kept looking at this coat hung up on the coat pegs near the loading bay. A few days later, one of the girls shouted to the staff to check if any of the lost property was their stuff before it got chucked out. I made my way closer to the loading bay where a huge clear yellow box lay on the floor. It was full of umbrellas, hats, scarves, jumpers and some coats, of which a lovely red down jacket caught my attention. I watched in dismay as the box was emptied on the builders skip. Two minutes later, I watched the landlady cut one button off the parka saying she needed it for another coat before throwing the parka onto a load of wet paint cans in the skip. I rescued both coats later that night. Luckily, the paint was emulsion and came out very easily. I am very happy with this find. I have collected a few of these Diesel parkas just over the last few months. It seems that they are now at the end of their lives.
A friend of Samantha's bought a small van for her florists business. I went with her to collect it. When we got it back to her business unit, we had a good look around it. She found this raincoat and the snorkel parka rolled up and stuffed into the top of the plywood paneling. After checking the pockets in hope of finding something good she threw in the bin. I rescued them that night, both are in mint condition and don't really look like they've been worn.

I originally found and photographed this jacket in September 08. I happened to be back in the area so stopped by. Most of the other clothing had been burnt probably by kids. I figured this jacket had suffered the same fate until I found it further down the embankment. Anyway, this time I took it with me.
I found this in a ripped open bin liner full of girls clothes and school stuff, looked like a bedroom clear out. There were magazines dated from June 2010 as well. The bag had been dumped with another bag containing bedding behind some garages for some private flats. There were also a couple of denim mini skirts, but they had started to rot quite badly. The Scott parka and school skirt and blazer cleaned up quite well with no staining.

Samantha actually obtained this for me. I don't know the full story but I guess someone she knew was throwing it out. She used to occasionally bring stuff for me and even for herself until she reckoned there was too much clutter. Nowadays, if it ain't nailed down, it gets thrown.
Found in a bin liner dug up at the landfill site. The bin liner was a great find as it contained 2 Oasis parkas, one short and one long. Both are well used. The bag also contained 2 pleated hockey type skirts amongst other clothes. The student books and a newspaper within the bag show a date of July 2007. There was even a photo of the previous owner with a few friends while she was wearing the long parka. Very sexy!
Found in an abandoned house that appears to have been used by a biker and his girlfriend. The garden was strewn with mainly broken furniture, some bike parts, loads of old bike and girl magazines and hundreds of beer bottles. Most of the clothing in the garden was uninteresting and had rotted quite badly. I managed to enter a side door of the garage which allowed me entry to the house which was a complete dump. There was loads of clothes amongst the rubbish, but most of it was of no interest to me. Upstairs in the bathroom I found this men's XL Alpha parka pushed up between the bottom of the toilet cistern and the wall. It had been used to soak up a leak, had now dried out and was like cardboard. The sleeve had been resting where the back of the seat meets the pan and was covered in urine and probably excrement. On leaving the house via the back I noticed a tied white plastic bag with some fur sticking out. I tore it open and dicovered a ladies small Alpha parka, a t shirt and a black pleated mini skirt all with vomit down the front. I can only presume she vomitted all over herself, bagged her clothes and threw them out into the rubbish strewn garden!
After a couple of light bleachings and a few washes, they're actually in very good condition with no stains at all.
I was walking down near the rented accomodation/student area. I noticed a stunningly beautiful Asian girl putting stuffed carrier bags of clothes out with the bins. As I got closer I couldn't help but notice the furry hood of a parka lying amongst the rubbish. She stayed outside sorting through the boot of her car. The bin men were only a couple of roads away so I had to swallow my pride and ask her for the clothes. She told me they were women's clothes, but if I had a use for them, take them. I chucked most of the clothes but kept these.
This parka is well worn, the zip is broken and buttons are missing.
This is it after 5 washes. It's very badly stained which will never wash out. The only damage are the Alpha logos on the breast and flap that have rotted away. Shame, it was probably in good condition when discarded. The usual lipstick and other girlie stuff was still in the pockets.

Great landfill dig up! I dug up an extremely heavy bin bag that had a tell tale blue nylon parka arm hanging out of it. It contained an Alpha Industries N2B, a Schott down jacket and a Gap snorkel parka. All of the jackets are worn out and faded. The Gap parka has a huge split in the side seam. I actually owned a Schott down jacket like this one probably 16+ years ago, unfortunately I threw it away despite it being in as new condition. So I was quite excited at finding this one. What was really strange was that the bag also contained the remains of 2 nylon bomber jackets that had been ripped to shreds!
Recovered well below the surface of the landfill site, this well worn out gents parka had loads of roots growing through the sleeves and ribbed parts of the jacket. It took ages to get all the plant life removed from the fabric. Considering it's been buried for around 3 years it's in fair condition. It was buried in a large amount of what looked like peat which probably protected it but encouraged root growth. The fur hood is well matted, there are no rips or tears, the zips still work fine, but the whole jacket is well worn shiny. The button loops and draw strings have all stretched. Was owned by a landscape gardener. His business cards and gloves were still in the pockets. I seem to be finding a few of these Scott parkas which means loads must of been sold, which is strange as I never remember seeing them in the shops.

Only partially buried just below the surface of the landfill, looks like it had been there a while as it was covered in green moss/mould. It's quite shiny in places but without rips or tears and the fur trim is missing around the hood. Has owners name written in black felt pen on label. So if your name is Rufaro Fielding, I have your discarded parka!

There was so much clothing lying about everywhere. Much of it was partially burried. I imagine there was tons burried under.

I saw a young couple wrestling an old front door onto a skip full of beds, matresses and bedding. The lad went into the porch and brought out a coat stand with this jacket still hanging on it. He joked to her about throwing her jacket into the skip. She took the jacket off him and put it on.
About 15 mins later I passed back on my way home, she came out the house, closed the door, threw the jacket and a pair of shoes into the skip, and drove off.
Found partially buried in a skip. There were loads of other clothes in there, but too many people were about.. The skip was gone when I went back.
