With the utter chaos of a derailment in the tunnel last week that is still being cleaned up, it seemed appropriate to go back and find a shot of a train actually successfully coming out of the tunnel. On a hot August afternoon, CN M385 comes screaming out of the Paul Tellier Tunnel into Port Huron, MI. A lot of earth has been moved on the right side as a result of the cleanup, which should create a new look for shooting the tunnel one trains get rolling again.
CN M38531-24 approaches Mile 18.08 of the CN Dundas Subdivision with a killer consist of BCOL 4644, GECX 9129 and CN 2416.
4644 and 9129 had been on A434 last night along with another GECX than came off due to mechanical issues, this is still good to me!
With storm clouds swirling all around, the clouds to the north moved, and before the clouds to the southwest blocked out the sun, a fast moving CN M385 flies past some relics of when things were busier on the Mount Clemens Sub in the small town of New Haven, MI.

CN M385 passes under the searchlights at McLeod on the CN Dundas Sub. The steeple of St. Mary's Parish, built in 1856 can be seen in the background.
Train: CN M385 with CN 3883 (ET44AC) and CN 3196 (ET44AC).

The only decent train of the day was an early one! M385 showed up with IC 2459, CN 5760 and IC 1010.
Right at 0800 the headlight came into view and I checked my settings to make sure I was doing the best I could with the circumstances.
All considered, I'll take it.

CN train M385 is heading west through Woodstock 20 minutes ahead of VIA 73. A former BCOL unit is trailing with a switcher third out. The paint has faded pretty badly on the 3 boxcar mural set across from the station. 11/23/18 Woodstock, ON.
What has been a largely grey, cold, and rainy fall has at least temporarily been brightened up by a mostly-sunny weekend. Seeking to maximize this opportunity, a day spent along the CN Dundas sub ends with a very late M385 (running at least six hours off the usual time) makes it's customary Paris/Brantford setoff , seem here backing into the North Service Track at Paris West with CN 8933-5664-2595. Not a bad way to end the day!
CN M385 drifts down the Halton Sub towards Burlington West where they will continue towards Sarnia on the Dundas Sub.
