The first few MCS-m tech demos performed with Fujin and Raijin proved to be quite popular with the industry press; PFi's board of directors had no objections to Executive Spokesman Destin Puck's suggestion that they keep that momentum going by adding a third demo unit to the show.
Demo Type 03 "Amaterasu", much like it's predecessors, mounts a simple loadout of common equipment that's been "glammed up" by the Artistic Director of PFi's recently established Demo Team.

Most depictions of Amaterasu that I could find (like this one: www.ancient.eu/uploads/images/981.gif?v=1431036092) represent the Sun Spirit as a woman in a white and red kimono with rays of light shooting out around her. According to legend, she was the grandmother of The First Emperor of Japan and gave to him three relics known as the Imperial Regalia (a sword, a mirror and a jewel), which served as the inspiration for this build's systems.
I've had this on my shelf for a month or so now while I've debated with myself over it's completeness. I still haven't reached a decision on that, so I figured that I might as well shoot it, post it, and hope like hell for some constructive comments. It's highly likely that my next building session will be focused on breaking this down and rebuilding it.
Shooting this thing was a royal pain in the kiester, btw. I'm not sure what it was, but I couldn't get the lighting right for anything and had to take, like, 70-something shots to get some that I was okay with.
