I photographed this 150yr old dilapidated Victorian mill building in 2012, when it was about to be sold to a development consortium for conversion to luxury apartments...
This is part of the water front project in Wakefield. Old mills and warehouses that are going to be converted into luxury flats.
In 2015 two teenagers set fire to this historic building, necessitating its further demolition. It had been planned that the Victorian mill would be developed as apartments.
Three years later new apartments were completed on the site, echoing the original building as much as possible.

Dennis Trident/Alexander ALX400 T672KPU was new in 4/99 as Stagecoach East London TA72. Later cascaded to Stagecoach’s provincial operations, it was later acquired by Brighton & Hove, with whom it is seen working here prior to a repaint in B&H red and cream. It is seen passing the Art Deco Marine Gare apartment block, built in 1939.

Architects: Lainson & Sons, c.1899, in a Renaissance Revival style. The blue plaques record two past residents:
Dame Clara Butt (1872-1936), contralto recitalist and concert singer.
Vesta Tilley (later Lady de Frece 1864-1952), music hall artiste renowned as a male impersonator. "She first donned boy's clothes in 1870".
St Aubyn's Mansions is a locally listed building. King's Esplanade, City of Brighton & Hove.

Shots taken as we walked down Marylebone Road, from Regent's Park (after leaving London Zoo), heading back to Marylebone Station to go home.

A look down Baker Street from the corner with Marylebone Road. This building is Chiltern Court.
It is luxury flats above Baker Street tube station.
Author H.G. Wells resided here between 1930 and 1936. Also novelist Arnold Bennett died here in 1931.
Chiltern Court may date to around 1929 at least.
I wasn't planning on taking Chiltern Court, so didn't know about those two plaques (just wanted shots of Baker Street as I passed it, as I wasn't going to view 221b Baker Street this time around).
A penthouse apartment in this new development sitting under the Royal Free is going for £1,195,000 (just under $2,000,000). Don't all rush.
But good for free in-house healthcare, and no ambulance required in an emergency. Also fine views of patients standing at the windows in their pyjamas. Less good for topless sunbathing.
