Hossawa Falls is the only waterfall in Tokyo selected as “Japan’s Top 100 Waterfalls”. It is also one of the nearest waterfalls to my place. I already visited it several times but never thought it deserved the top 100.
This time I visited it after the rain. It looked much more magnificent than usual. I eventually realized how good this waterfall was.
Oberschwaben in Süddeutschland ... Äcker und sattgrüne Wiesen wechseln mit Wäldern und fruchtbaren Obstgärten, da und dort blitzt ein Weiher oder ein kleiner See, Hügel reiht sich sanft an Hügel. Dazwischen schmucke Dörfer und kleine Städte eingestreut, Burgen und Schlösser, Klöster und Kapellen und die fernen Alpen, bei Föhn zum Greifen nahe.
Upper Swabia in southern Germany ... fields and lush green meadows alternate with forests and fertile orchards, here and there flashes a pond or a small lake, hill joins hill gently. In between, pretty villages and small towns interspersed, castles, monasteries and chapels and the distant Alps, with hair dryer at your fingertips.

Hiked out at Pacheco State Park yesterday! It was cold, cloudy, windy, rainy, and then sunny sometimes too. Here is a shot of a sunny spot on some green hills. Didn't see another human out there! Thanks Kirk L. for inspiring me to get out there with one of your recent pics you posted!
The lush trees are hugging a set of Batten Kill power as they run towards Eagle Bridge on a rescue mission.
Lushness
One thing I really love at this time of year are the colours and shades of the foliage in the woodlands. The greens and yellows are so vibrant and lush, the freshness, the smells, a beautiful view.

(038/365) A Limnophila plant growing in my small tropical aquarium, the Hipstamatic App gave it a kind of soft neon glow HGGT & HTT!
From Wikipedia; Limnophila is a genus of flowering plants in the family Plantaginaceae. It is distributed in tropical and subtropical regions of Africa, Asia, Australia, and the Pacific Islands. Species are known commonly as marshweeds. One of the more commonly used in aquariums is Limnophila sessiliflora

The Abbey is on a beautiful piece of land, with a salmon river running through. So many of the flowers we cherish in our gardens grow wild in Ireland...
This is the oft-photographed Multnomah Falls in Oregon. I originally shot the full length of the falls (620 feet) but I found the slightly closer crop gives a better feeling for the graceful majesty of these waterfalls. Might be the most picturesque in all of North America. Taken earlier this year on a road trip through Washington and Oregon state with Kevin Benedict.
Taken with Pentax K-1 and Pentax 24-70mm lens using "Pixel Shift" feature (which worked surprisingly well here). I did end up photoshopping several people off the bridge.
We are on a walk through the lower part of the Cataract Gorge in Launceston, Tasmania. It is not long after dawn.
Here we see the South Esk River flowing gently over the ancient rocks of the Gorge, whilst surrounded by lush vegetation. Apart from the steel fence, we could have stepped back in time a million years.
Launceston is extremely fortunate to have such a geological wonder with natural bushland all within two kilometres of the CBD. Next time you're visiting Tasmania, you should take this walk.

Lush spring growth of cow parsley and comfrey in Horseshoe Thicket, a small area of woodland on Walthamstow Marshes, has completely changed the whole look of this path just in the last two weeks since I was last here.
One of the most iconic elements of the vista of the Danube Bend is the castle rising out of the steep mountainside above Visegrád. From within its walls we can marvel at the breathtaking view of the city below and the serpentine of the Danube in front of the lush, mountainous landscape. As one of Hungary’s largest fortifications, its size and splendor were considered exceptional even at the time of its building, in 1250.
