A beautiful old Chevy sits in a farm field ready to more work. One might say a lunch bra because although slightly rusted it is obviously being used.
In this scene I have cropped out as much as possible. I tried to take a good clear shot, but I couldn't do it between so many branches. Anyway, I'm happy with this result ...
PS: Now, I have two weeks of vacation, in "complete" isolation. My planned trip to Europe was canceled for a well known reason ...
There is nothing interesting in my neighborhood, the flowers on the trees are blooming, but everything is cold ...
On Sunday we had 76 degrees, but in the evening the temperature dropped to "feels like 35" ... total thermal shock. It will look like this for the next days according to the weather forecast ...

Looking at the Navajo Nation from an overlook at Painted Desert National Park in Arizona. I love the colors and textures of the land, and the puffy clouds in the blue sky.

We'll never know (unless he comes back next year of course) whether he made it back to the relative safely of warmer climes

This Male Common Yellowthroat was going from the trees to the tall grass field to feed it's young. They were too deep down to get a shot. Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust, Huntingdon Valley, PA.
Carolina Wrens, are present in Eastern North America ALL YEAR. I included them in the winter bird section because that is the only time they come to my feeders! During the warmer months, they strictly hunt insects. During winter they are commonly seen eating peanuts.
Every Winter a nearby lake gets dozens of Bald eagles that hang around for a few weeks.
I was able to get this shot only because the cars in front of me were stopped.
I try to shoot them from a distance so as not to disturb them. Unfortunately, many people do not realize how they actually do disturb them. The meals these birds or any wild animal gets can mean life or death. So , I do shoot ethically.
As you can tell, the eagle not concentrating on his meal. He is eying the many people below him, directly under the tree .
Thankfully the eagle was able to take off with his meal to a tree further away.

Late Lunch Skippy stops by for some food but it's getting low at this time of day, found in North Carolina.
Yesterday and today were very sunny days, and in my opinion the first ones in which the sunshine actually felt warm.
Even if the sun is still quite low and the shade covers the garden very early, today I decided to have lunch outside and enjoy a wonderful cold beer!
Isn't it funny how easy we can feel content ;) ♥
