10-second time exposure (with tripod) on Canon PowerShot S3 with 12X zoom, on 8:30pm on 28 Aug 2007.
Total Lunar Eclipse taken from Elkins, WV on March 14th 2025 at 0642UTat the Hampton Inn. Drove from Maryland to avoid the forecasted clouds. Taken with Canon T7i camera through Williams Optics 132mm refractor telescope.
Well we went down to our fav spot by the water and waited for the moon to rise. It was very hard to focus on it with my paltry 200mm lens, but here is the best one from a mediocre batch.

Used a 5Dii body with a 70-200L and a x2 TC. Tripod and mirror lockup.

Penumbral lunar eclipse at 00:29:25 UT, about 15 min before deepest eclipse. The penumbral phase (the fraction of the lunar diameter within the shade) is 0.997. The red circles mark the boundaries of the (inner) umbral and (outer) penumbral shadow. These 5 min were the only gap in the clouds between first contact and greatest eclipse.
Telementor II 60/840 mm refractor, f/13.3; Canon EOS 600Dα, CLS light pollution filter, 100 ISO, single frame of 8 ms (1/125 s), using two dark frames. Edinburgh. Raw linear green channel converted with γ=2.2 to grey JPG.
On December 20, 2010 for the first time since 1638, a total lunar eclipse of the full moon falls on the winter solstice.
