Shot taken at the Owl Head Lodge, Gulgong NSW

Recently we stayed here for a night. The place was amazing, only second to the display the moon put on for us at night !

I’m not being paid to say this but seriously, if you get the chance to stay here…take it!

Simple and straight forward enough...why do people find it so hard to follow?

The sun was not on show today

But I thought I'd go down anyway

Capturing a sunrise, it had been a while

I set out theis morning in obvious denial

Shooting sunrises is a real pleasure

But time alone admiring God's work is what I treasure

OurDailyChallenge Topic: Treasure

I see this as beauty but It's not as we know it

It's not a smiling child or a setting sun but an urban scene dimly lit

Open your eyes and you'll find scenes like this

Our worl is beautiful, we are living in bliss

The word perfect is thrown around so lightly these days

But when describing creation the suits in all sorts if ways

The World Cup is ours :) Fabregas should've played more in the cup!!!

The slowly fading sun creeps behind the horizon beyond

The orange skies and cool winds I am very fond

No matter how crazy a day I have had

I feel relaxed now, and will go to bed glad

You can see the old Barracks building wonderfully lit up in the background.

Planted together in the practice of marriage

Cliche would have them riding in a carriage

They look so small on ground level dwarfed by this nature

But their love will no doubt grow into such enormous stature

Twenty thousand views, a book by Luke Reynolds. This book covers the journey from 1 single view to 20,000.

A tale of landscape shots, brilliant people (some known and others not) and hundreds of mindless dribble that 'describe' my thoughts and photos. Some photos have been better than others but that's ok, no one is perfect.

With this shot, my photostream will pass 20,000 views, thanks to all who have viewed my stream!

Sorry I should explain this shot too :) It is simple shot of my bookcase at home. nothing more to add really but personally I find all of these books to be excellent reads....

At the end of the day, it's always best to sit back and think about what REALLY matters!

This shot is part of the 2010 vivid festival in Sydney. A fantastic event that higlights not only creativity but also just how awesome the city of Sydney is!

The waves will keep crashing making a splash,

So I'll keep taking shots you can bet all your cash.

In search of a good shot, that perfect shape,

My knees on the rocks I'm sorry, i did scrape!

Dog to Ball: Don't you dare move!

Ball to Dog: ...

A ball cannot speak!

The wires are rusty and razor sharp

But the sunset plays like a beautiful harp

It sucks me in and draws me near

But the rusty wire is what I fear

The beauty of this world is constantly calling me

I answer and respond as if honey calling the bee

But people are not perfect hence the wire is there

Why did we have to ruin creation, it’s simply not fair

The sun had risen well above the horizon so I started to head back to my car when I saw these breakers... Surprising that such small swell could make enough impact to capture this sillo.

It’s dark when I leave work now thanks to winter

Sitting on a bench taking this I avoided a splinter

I was looking for colour in an otherwise dim night

I left the shutter open for 30 seconds to let in some light

Traffic bursting through the intersection, lights shining clear

Can you see my own “splash of colour” it is so clear

Who am I? Who are you?

Am I insignificant too?

In the fetal position we were all once curled

We're all one little person is the big bad world

We can make a difference that is what we're told

But to make it come true you have to be BOLD

Live your life like you have an impact

Change it from a saying into a proven FACT

The big storm swell has been around all week but it was only recently the wind dropped enough for surfing.

To get out in surf this BIG, you'd need some solid inspiration!

A friend in need. However, this is a false friend. It will make you wait forever and once you set your foot off on the street, it will change its mind and switch back to red.

A long time ago there was a jetty built,

Time has taken it's toll, you can tell by the tilt.

You would not be allowed to build them big like this now,

but with the sun rising behind it...WOW!

Do you like the processing of this image? I have tried to breath life into what was originally a dull looking image (in my opinion)....the sun simply didn't come out to play!

Reading the news and having a beer

Two things this man obviously holds dear

The paper provides all the hard hitting facts

Whilst the beer provides the zing the news lacks

The problem of paper waste is SO BIG it may seem magnified but I'm sad to say it's not...

Used paper towels create 254 million tons of trash every year.

Once used, paper towels cannot be recycled.

As many as 51,000 trees per day are required to replace the number of paper towels that are discarded every day.

A problem, I think you'll agree!
