EEMSHAVEN - The AIDAnova is the first ship of the new AIDA generation and will set sail at the end of 2018. The ship is built in the shipyard in Papenburg and has a length of 337 m and a width of 42 m. On 20 decks there are 2,500 passenger cabins in 20 different categories - from the single cabin to the penthouse suite. In its debut season starting in December 2018, the newly built ship will sail on seven-day cruises at the Canary Islands. With its concept of “Green Cruising”, AIDA Cruises will be the first cruise line that will be able to operate its new generation of ships with 100 percent environmentally friendly LPG.
The AIDAnova can accommodate 6,600 passengers and 1,500 crew members, making it the fifth-biggest ship in the world.
