This image stood out to me and I loved the dark shadows with the slim light on the edge of his arm and head, almost silhouette. I also liked how I got the sun to be in line with his eye and the way this illuminated the image in a darker exposure way.
For this lowkey image, I was looking to create an in-focus shot of the head of the decorative owl with a blurred background so I chose to use f/4.5. I was using a consistent ISO of 200 at the time, and so in order to create a good exposure of the owl, I went with a shutter speed of 1/40th second.
