Well, you have the choice: do some productive work - or take some pictures. Lowkey experiment; I'm not really happy with it, but, hey - at least nobody had to get naked for this one.

My attempt at lowkey portrait with a single strobe after the instructions by Rick Nunn. I've been wanting to try this for a while, since I really like the look.
Shot indoors on a D700 with 85/1.8 Nikkor, one SB-800 on a barstool to the left, triggered wirelessly using the usual Nikon CLS-wireless flash. Gear was almost all borrowed (lucky break!), but I got the opportunity to test the 85mm. Had a three hour window for myself, the gear and the model to be at the same place at the same time.
Had to adjust the black point a bit and do a few safety burns to hide the brick wall behind her. Outdoors would've been easier. Also, would've been easier with a softbox or an umbrella and a proper light stand.
Best of the bunch, I'm pretty satisfied with the results. The hat doesn't show much but I'm going to let it slide this time around. Might post a few other poses as well, an orange tie casted some interesting shades in earlier shots.
