The central feature of the Lovers´ Park (Ғашықтар саябағы) in Astana is a fountain with a contemporary sculpture in the middle of it.
These are two mute swans doing their courtship display, I tried to edit this more of a dream vision than a real photo!

Quelle chance de les avoir eus avec leurs ombres projetées, entourés de toutes ces lumières.
A moins que ce ne soit la Chance faite à une Amoureuse de sa Ville.

There is already a version of this couple from mount Gohrisch in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains where I embedded them in the vast landscape. In the title of this photo I called them siblings.
But after publication, so many of you wrote to me that you are reminded more of lovers than siblings.
I found that so touching and romantic that I now see these little pine trees with different eyes.
And so it makes sense that in this version, in which they are now the center of attention, I would describe them as what already corresponds to general (and now also my) perception.
A young couple in love dancing tightly entwined on the rock and enjoying the sunset. That sounds like a very successful and romantic date to me.
But this isn't just a date. Because these two have been a couple for many years (reef pines grow extremely slowly) and protect and support each other in wind and weather.
It seems that the right people have found each other and I wish them many more years of togetherness.
Von diesem Pärchen vom Gohrisch im Elbsandsteingebirge gibt es bereits eine Version von mir, wo ich sie in die weite Landschaft eingebettet hatte. Im Titel dieses Fotos hatte ich sie Geschwister genannt.
Doch nach der Veröffentlichung haben mir so viele von Euch geschrieben, dass sie eher an Liebende erinnert werden denn an Geschwister.
Das fand ich so rührend und romantisch, dass ich diese kleinen Kiefern jetzt mit anderen Augen sehe.
Und so liegt es nahe, dass ich sie in dieser Version, in der sie nun im Zentrum der Aufmerksamkeit stehen, auch als das bezeichne, was sowieso schon der allgemeinen (und nun auch meiner) Wahrnehmung entspricht.
Ein junges Liebespaar, welches eng verschlungen auf dem Felsen tanzt und den Sonnenuntergang geniesst. Das klingt für mich nach einem sehr gelungenen und romantischen Date.
Doch das hier ist nicht einfach nur ein Date. Denn diese beiden sind schon seit vielen Jahren ein Paar (Riffkiefern wachsen ja extrem langsam) und schützen und stützen sich bei Wind und Wetter.
Da haben sich scheinbar die Richtigen gefunden und ich wünsche ihnen noch viele Jahre Zweisamkeit.
