I was looking after the grandchildren (aged 10 & 13) and we had all just returned from our bike ride. I reached in my pocket for the keys - no keys!
We phoned Susan who said she'd come home from work and let us in. After making sure the children were safe in the back garden I started to retrace our route on foot. I was particularly interested in revisiting the place I had fallen off my bike.
And there they were the little beauties, the red mini cheekily poking through the pile of grass I'd landed on. Isn't life wonderful sometimes. Moral: don't put keys in shallow pockets.
...especially when you then you have to then get in the shed to get the lawn mower.
Damn it.

My car key has vanished, so I'm forced to take the extra long journey home
by Metro. My 45 min commute becomes borderline 2 hours on a weeknight. At
least i have my house keys and the car is safe. Ill be on the internet
tonight and phone early in the morn... Its high time i get 2 working keys
for this vehicle. Blessing in disguise, as i've learned by the time i've
posted this.
