The Georgetown Loop train makes its away around its famous looped bridge, rising above the Colorado mountain forest.
The Loop (historically Union Loop, or commonly Loop) is the 1.79-mile circuit of elevated railroad that forms the hub of the 'L' rapid transit system in Chicago, Illinois. The Loop is so named because the railroad loops around a rectangle.
Starting with a pano-sabotage shot of two of me reflected in a car window, processed with a kaleidoscope filter and various other enhancements. I'm still going around the loop!

The prompt today was "A Gift Loop or a Knot or Towel Day - a tribute to Douglas Adams."
That is a bit of a mouthful, so I took the Loop and Knot part and made today's sketch a Bow Tie which has a Loop and a Knot. Simples!

Good day at the Mach Loop. Not much in the way of aircraft but the weather was glorious! These were taken on Cad East but next time I'll be on Cad West even tho the light is more challenging.
A couple of photos today of the stunning staircase and atrium at the BIavatnik School of Government in Oxford. I could quite happily spend hours in here taking photos

Thanks to the Lighthouse Keeper (Tom McInerney) for putting on ALL the lights for me. I got talking to him and he asked if I would send him a photo of the lighthouse. I asked him for his email address and he said he did not have one but could I post him one. No problem I said, but if you want a really nice photo then, the more lights that are on the better. No problem, he said, when do you want them on, and off he went ......

A typical back road in northern Wisconsin. I was lucky this was in the middle of nowhere so that I could stop and get this image. The road is so narrow that another car couldn't have gotten through easily.
My Loop March Spontaneous Skinning Batt spun up in a skein. These photographs don't show off the rich, royal nature of the skein. It's gorgeous! 180 yards! I'm still debating what to do with it, but I might pair it with some commercially spun yarn in purple and yellow to make a triangular shawl.
At 2100hrs on Monday 22 May 2023, DB Cargo loco no. 66165 exits the down loop at Yatton in North Somerset with 6V71, the Cliffe Vale (1507hrs) to Exeter Riverside china clay hoppers. This train had been held to allow the passing of a Cross Country Trains working from Edinburgh to Plymouth. The rear lights of this Voyager DMU can be seen further down the line.
For an alternative angle on railway photography, why not take a look at the Phoenix website:

This is it all spun up! I don't remember the yardage anymore... around 200 yards? Something like that.
I spun each batt separately. For each batt, I spun the dark underlayer first, then the lighter top layer. I then plyed the two together, so half is pink/green, less than half is mostly chocolate, and then there's a small transition period.
