Point Lookout Lighthouse ~ Original lighthouse built in 1830. In 1927, the lighthouse was expanded toward the Potomac River and divided into a duplex so that two families could live in the lighthouse. The lighthouse was deactivated in 1966.

A beautiful place in Arizona. Dobbins lookout point, on top of South mountain just south of Phoenix Arizona. On top there is a little 'castle' with a beautiful see through towards the low sun illuminating the clouds.

As those of you who read my previous postings of Bobby the blackbird, you will be aware that another two blackbirds also visit our garden, several times a day, called Billy and Betty.
Here's Bobby on his most recent visit, keeping a watchful eye open for Billy the bully, who tries his utmost to deter Bobby.
Not sure if any of you have watched Ghost. The part where the guy shouts at Patrick Swayze " get off my train"
Well thats what it's like in our garden with Billy and Bobby lol!
Poor Bobby literally gets attacked if he dares to show his face. No wonder he's looking a little bedraggled, with feathers sticking out.
He's a tough little character and remains undeterred though and over the past week or so, has even now been to the front window, to tell us he's there.
An couple immature eagles (all brown about 2 years and the one with white head and some white in chest about 4 years), keep a look out for fish as they migrate North for the summer.

Behind this temporary constrution, this memorial to the fishermen lost at sea stands on the site of Oostende's first lighthouse (built in 1771) and each year those lost seamen are remembered here. The memorial was constructed in 1953.
Last night I took a trip to the shore for a few hours and spotted this cool scene on the bay. Each seagull was standing on a post on this old pier....I thought it was so picturesque. It's so fun to spot special moments in time with a camera in hand, isn't it?
Hope you're all well! :)
I've been away for a few months, but I return here with a new photo of my hometown.

This is a great place for the walk and to enjoy the panoramic view of Paulista Avenue in all its extension.

Great Blue Herons feed in the shallows, and on the ground But they nest in high places - up in the big white pines around here, and the survey for food and safety from lofty perches.
The official State bird of California, the California Quail. This bird was at the very top of a tree and screeching his lungs out. He was acting as lookout for a flock of Quail that were crossing the road in front of us. His warnings were loud and clear after a couple of dashes to the blackberry bushes we saw nary another Quail.
