Came across this brilliant Passion flower which seemed to have all the colors of the 🌈,framed by green leaves.
BOGART: "Hullo Jago."
JAGO: "Hullo Bogart."
BOGART: "Why are you sitting here alone, Jago? Are you sad?"
JAGO: "Oh no, Bogart, I'm very happy. How could I be sad when I have you, Paddy, Scout, Cousin Paddington and Daddy for my family? I love being here with you all."
BOGART: "Then why are you sitting here?"
JAGO: "Well, sometimes I just like to sit quietly on my own and daydream, or look for faeries in the garden."
BOGART: "Faeries, in our garden? Where?" *Excited.*
JAGO: "Well, I haven't seen one yet, but maybe today will be my lucky day."
BOGART: "May I look for faeries with you, Jago?"
JAGO: "Yes, of course you may, Bogart. Come. Sit on my lap and let's watch closely for faeries in the garden."
The theme for “Looking Close on Friday” for the 11th of March is “backside”. When I came across Bogart and Jago looking for faeries in the garden through the window, I thought their backsides would be perfect for the theme. I hope that you think so too, and that it makes you smile!
Jago is a recent addition to my ever-growing family. A gift from a dear friend in England, he is made of English mohair with suede paw pads and glass eyes. He is a gentle bear, kind and patient who carries an air of calm about him. He is already fitting in with everyone else very nicely.
Bogart has travelled all the way from Georgia, via Alabama as a gift to me from a friend. He has lovely Southern manners and seems to be a fun and gentle soul with an inquisitive nature.

Hi everybody! I’m back in action after a month. Slow at first but gently does it.
Not been too well but feeling a bit better now and eager to go!
I love salads with tomatoes and a cheese and tomato sandwich,or an egg and tomato sandwich.
I loved how the light caught the crown, the light came from the left side.

The theme for “Looking Close on Friday” for the 14th of January is “shoes with laces”. These black and white 1920s style dress shoes were made for me some twenty years or more ago, for a roaring 20s fancy dress party, by the now defunct company Griffin of Melbourne, who specialised in 1920s and 1930s inspired couture clothing and shoes. They seemed to be the perfect fit for the theme! I do hope that you like my choice, and that this photograph makes you smile!
It was recently my birthday, and a very dear friend who enjoys photography as much as I do, and knows that I collect beautiful and vintage pieces, gave me a wonderful selection of antique ribbons, buttons, buckles, lace and other fine notions. She gave me these in three beautiful tins, including this octagonal tin covered in Edwardian beauties. The tine may be old and battered, but I think those imperfections add to the tin’s beauty. It tells a story of being well used and well loved.
How apt it is then that a few weeks after I was given this wonderful tin full of ribbons, buttons, buckles, lace and fine notions, Maria announced the theme for “Looking Close… on Friday!” for October 20th, as “old boxes”, which is derived from my suggestion of “old, antique or vintage”. This theme also includes old tins. I knew immediately which tin I wanted to photograph.
