....but it rained all day today. On the plus side, however, it's good for the bottlebrush tree outside the bedroom window.

One of the cafes at the Jasper Park Lodge (from behind), Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada. It just started to rain a little and it was nice to watch from the inside.
You can't tell from this shot, but Trey doesn't feel well today. We're both home sick.
What a way to spend your 5-month birthday. Sorry kiddo.
I hope to come back here next summer, but not when it's quite as cold. andyarthur.org/photos/beebehill/lookingout.html

"Never Know"
I hear this old story before
Where the people keep appealing for the metaphors
Don't leave much up to the imagination,
So I, wanna give this imagery back
But I know it just ain't so easy like that
So, I turn the page and read the story again
And again and again
It sure seems the same, with a diff. name
We're breaking and rebuilding
And we're growing
Always guessing
Never knowing
Shocking but we're nothing
We're just moments
We're Clever but we're clueless
We're just human
Amusing but confusing
Were trying but where is this all leading
Never Know
It all happened so much faster
Than you could say disaster
Wanna take a time lapse
And look at it backwards
From the last one
And maybe thats just the answer
That we're after
But after all
We're just a bubble in a boiling pot
Just one breath in a chain of thought
The moments just combusting
Feel certain but we'll never never know
Just seems the same
Give it a diff. name
We're beggin and we're needing
And we're trying and we're breathing
Never knowing
Shocking but we're nothing
We're just moments
We're Clever but we're clueless
We're just human
Amusing but confusing
Helping, we're building
And we're growing
Never Know
Knock knock on the door to door
Tell ya that the metaphor is better than yours
And you can either sink or swim
Things are looking pretty grim
If you dont believe in what this one feeding
Its got no feeling
So I read it again
And again and again
Just seems the same
Too many different names
Our hearts are strong our hands are weak
We'll always be competing never knowing
Never knowing
Shocking but we're nothing
We're just moments
We're Clever but we're clueless
We're just human
Amusing but confusing
But the truth is
All we got is questions
We'll Never Know
Never Know
Never Know

had a look around the Mary Rose Museum today even though the covers are still on the ship it was incredible to see all the artefacts and listen to people who are passionate about their heritage and preservation. Not allowed to show any pics taken inside until 30th May when it opens to the public.

Snow!
Woke up to snow this morning. If I'd gotten up earlier, maybe there would have been even more of it on the ground. It never snows in London, so even a light dusting is exciting to me.
They say it might snow more tonight - I'll be watching and waiting.
Incidentally, I am insanely happy today, as you might be able to tell from this picture. That's not just a 'glad snow' face...
(P.S Partly nicked the idea from rinphoto, so thanks! hehe)
This view was shot looking approximately south south east from the Yukon Arts Centre across the Yukon River Valley. Part of down town Whitehorse is visible in the frame though it extends further to the north and south along the river.
This is an out of camera jpeg shot handheld. No post processing changes other than a size reduction on upload to Flickr. The camera's image style was set to "faithul" which should help to illustrate just how colourful the scene really was. It was a beautiful morning with the sun casting its warm glow over everything and adding a finishing touch to the mounds of fresh snow everywhere.

A guy and a girl can be just friends, but at one point or another, they will fall for each other...Maybe temporarily, maybe at the wrong time, maybe too late, or maybe forever.

A fellow flickrer and I had a wonderful lunch overlooking Federation Square, with its hyper-modern masterpieces of architecture.
The brightness seen here occurred during a blessed moment when the sun came briefly through the clouds...

Ends and beginnings - there are no such things.
There are only middles.
