Macro Mondays …. Theme Lookup

The shot is taken looking vertical at part of the base and underside of a lightshade hanging from the ceiling,made of glass stones strung together in a globe shape. The macro also shows reluctantly cobwebs, which have now been removed.

The City-Hochhaus Leipzig has 34 floors and is with 142.0 meters (total height with antenna support: 155.40 m) the highest building in Leipzig and a landmark of the city. It was completed in 1972 and was the tallest building in the two German states until the construction of the Jentower (144.5 m). After the Jentower, it is the second tallest building in East Germany.

The tower was designed by architect Hermann Henselmann in the shape of an open book.

Lookup! The Philharmonie in Luxembourg has the shape of an eye and is framed on the façade by 823 columns. Why an eye and not an ear, I don't know. In the basement there is a hall, the so-called Espace Découverte, which is used for electro-acoustic music, experimental art in the field of electronics or film. The band Kraftwerk would certainly have enjoyed this place ....
