The telescope in an amateur astronomer's roll-off-roof observatory is looking high up in the sky, while a flaring stallite paints a streak of light in the heavens.
This photo is a stack of two 30-second exposures (Canon EOS 550D, ISO 1600, f/4.0) taken with a 8mm fisheye lens. A time lapse sequence, covering 2 hours and 45 minutes, can be seen here.
For more information about the observatory, and to see the excellent astrophotos taken with this equipment, check out Bernhard Hubl's website.

Look at the trees, look at the birds, look at the clouds, look at the stars...and if you have eyes you will see that the whole existence is joyful. ~Osho View On Black
Thank you dog ma for the texture. I was told that this is a Yellow Rump Warbler.
I took this a little while ago, whilst I didnt get much time for shooting new pictures or even developing old ones.... Well today I decided to do something about that and give you guys something taken with my trusty Fuji X20.
The title of this picture is appropriate for whats happening in my world right now, except for my terribly slow internet! hehe
I trust all my flickr pals thats still on here are super.
Keep well. :)
This shot always fascinated me. Behind the glasses was a stare that was a challenge. Why? it said ... and it said it with a look of confrontation ... Our body posture says so much without words. What do you think she is saying?
Taken in the Museum of Science and Industry. Just a stairwell, but the geometric shapes were awesome.
New something was missing from my peignoir pics lovely set of pearls completing the wonderful vintage look 💜
I'm not super fond of the landscapes in North Dakota and western Minnesota. Mainly just for the lack of diversity in it. It's still beautiful land but it's just not quite in my taste. I do live here however, so I still have to find the beauty I can, and I find it's easiest when you look a little closer.
I wanted to try a different wig, am I better blonde or brunette?
Also went for smaller boobs for a change. I usually wear 36Ds, but these are 36Cs, again thoughts?
Looking Glass Fall is located in the Pisgah Forest of Western North Carolina, USA. This is a rare time of few visitors. Nice.
On the past as well. :)

I'm looking in from the outside
I wish my mind could read the score
Some day a door will open
Then I'll know then I'll see
What I'm striving for
If I could get an answer
If someone would give me a clue
I know I'd feel much better
But I can't find anyone
To put my question to
It's been a busy week as I was preparing for the final exam since it is the last week of school. I took this shot during the train ride en route to Guilin. I hope I will be able to take more pictures and explore a different aspect of photography in the near future during summer vacation. But for right now, non-recent shots will have to suffice.
I used my friend's Zeiss 50mm f/1.4 for this shot and I have to admit that it was fun to use with good contrast and sharpness, even wide open!
Cute little bird seen at my balcony. Taken with this:
