This quite indistinct rainbow that appeared around the 4th inning at Frontier Field last night may not be the greatest rainbow in the world, but it's the best one I've seen at any sporting event.

it's only taken a year, but we've finally set up the drums.
I think in the beginning, there were too many parties and the

So, here is my first posting from my recent Texas-trip.
It was a trip spent in good company! My travel companions were Håkan/Ardeola and Stefan Johansson. While birding one lap and a half around the Lone Star State in 16 days, there was also room (not quite) to meet two internet-friends; Kim Garwood the Butterfly Lady, and Joseph/jciv from Flickr.
Joseph met up at Santa Ana WR for the one morning we spent there, April 22:nd.
The wind was wipping all over the place, which seems commonplace in Texas, and it was somewhat overcast. Not much bug-life around yet, but thanks to a letup in earlier longlasting downpours things were coming around. Later.
Butterflies had been scarce up north, at High Island. Down in Lower Rio Grande Valley it got better, but still many brown skippers. The ID has barely begun on those.
Here comes a nice Dragonfly that jciv already has posted with much better result.
I feel the strong compulsion to once again drive home my old point "I can't take REALLY good photos of Dragonflies!" and therefore post my version.
I blame the facts: low light and taken with my telephoto 300mm at close range, not much DOF. Which I promptly place somewhat wrong...
But, HEY, the colors are nice!!!

Steroids, immunomodulatory creams and phototherapy helps patients to regain the color. Newer surgical techniques like skin grafting and cell transplantation has given excellent treatment outcome in resistant stable cases with no tendency to spread. The tiny bits of normal skin or the seperated cell suspension is transplanted into the white patches to spread the pigment cells. Hair follicle transplantation is the latest novel modality with amazing results even in long standing vitiligo.

While wandering through old cemetaries in New Orleans this week it really hit me, it is the last way someone can make their mark on the world. I saw graves from the 1700s, and although I will still choose cremation, it made me think that I need to make my mark on the world while I am here. If I will be a memory for others, the impact needs to be longlasting. No pressure.
