Had to check out Little Cottonwood Canyon while home for some Rest & Relaxation. Found a couple of new spots and was happy to see the water is down from last month, I think it will be perfect for the shots I'm looking in August.

A view to the south, across Shipwrights Bay, Sydney, towards Tom Uglys Bridge (the same direction as my recent star trail post). A view that I enjoy photographing. A single photo taken with a wide angle lens.

Bangor pier and shoreline in North Wales around midnight on Easter Sunday as seen from across the Menai strait on the Anglesey shore at Menai Bridge. Behind the city one can still see the snowy peaks of Snowdonia.

During the second night of our frequent Northern Lights sightings for some short moments we witnessed this strangest of all Northern Lights displays: an almost perfect horizontal layer like defined with a celestial ruler. It didn't last long, hence I am very happy that I could capture it.

Nearly 15 minutes here as the clouds stream past the trees along the horizon. The clouds were moving parallel, making for an interesting effect with the hole in the sky :)

Thanks for your visit, comments and/or faves.

I love shooting at small apertures to exaggerate the starbursts off streetlights. I love the look I can get from the 24-105mm L series glass.

The classic view....not original but still one of my favorite comps here. Looking forward to hitting Mossbrae Falls this Autumn. Hope you enjoy, let me know what you think!

Went pass this intersection and it just caught my eye... I'm still looking at it and can't tell if it's only because of the yellow trees or because it was just pretty symmetrical, but I like what came out (well, obviously after a bunch of attempts and a taxi that decided to sit right in front of me for 10 long minutes).

Another library shot for today’s post this is the pier at Aberdour. Shot looking north-west into what was supposed to be a nice setting sun. You cannot rely on the Scottish weather so instead we have yet another grungy grey shot. Ah well, you need variety in your life!
