The Amalfi Coast (Italian: Costiera Amalfitana) is a stretch of coastline on the southern coast of the Sorrentine Peninsula in the Province of Salerno in Southern Italy. The Amalfi Coast is a popular tourist destination for the region and Italy as a whole, attracting thousands of tourists annually.
We visited a beautiful restaurant overlooking Positano, grabbed this photo on the way back.
Was jetting off to Vegas this week so had limited options for this weeks theme, only just managed to find WIFI :-)
Thought it fitted the theme quite well as there was a fantastic low winter sun and I was in a 'sunny' mood to be getting on the plane!!

For this week’s submission LightAsAFeather, here’s a shot from the Red Devils official parachute display team, they are made up of both the Parachute Regiment (The Paras) and the British Army. This shot was taken during their tribute to the 70th anniversary of the D-Day Normandy landings at Duxford.
So for this week’s FlickrFriday theme when I thought of Breakfast at Tiffany's, I kept coming back to the song 'Moon River' and a classic Love story. So for my submission I decided to create a shot which encompassed both. I found this statue of the word love and thought it would beautifully fit the theme in the moonlight or the moon in the background, but alignment and weather conditions weren’t going to play ball in the timeframe, so I settled for a floodlight in the background as replacement moon.
Quite a hard challenge this week, looking forward to next week!
New warehouse's skeleton half constructed. Taken for the first Flickr Friday “beyond the horizon” challenge.
Was chosen as one of Flickr's favourites and was even shown on the Flickr Blog!

This week's mission for #FlickrFriday was London Calling. I was thinking of a classic red phone box, but there's not many around these days and I saw some in the pool shortly after the theme was announced. So when I was thinking about something that called in London, I thought about the rail announcements, “this train is calling at…” etc.
So here's a photo of a First Capital Connect www.firstcapitalconnect.co.uk/ London King's Cross (overground) train together with the prepay Oyster card to get you round London on the Tube in central London.
It’s a classic British institution and as per usual... was delayed!

A make up brush fixed to the table top, a can of compressed gas was used to blow the power off the top just before the shutter went.
This adorable kitten was playing in Archaeology museum in Istanbul with four of it's siblings. Very cute!
This year the FFF+ Group have decided to have a monthly challenge called "Freestyle On The Fifth". A different theme chosen by a member of the group each month, and the image is to be posted on the 5th of the month.
This month the theme, "fields of gold" was chosen by Gary (www.flickr.com/photos/gazman_au/).
What better way to create a field of gold than to lay out a number of golden silk ties and create a golden terrain.
The ties included here range in age from twenty years ago to earlier this year. The ties are made by various different companies including London based designers Thomas Pink, Hawes and Curtis and Hardy Amies, Australian designers Sergio Alvajee and Andreas Miguel, and French designers Giles du Puy and Déclic.
For this week’s challenge I tried to think of a subject matter which is often in the news, something that could be used by other designers to promote a theme or be used to support a campaign, message or action.
I decided to use a combination of the energy market and the feeling of wasted potential and/or energy efficiency. The muted colour range and the wall with multiple cracks and imperfection all helps to mimic the feeling of stress and wasted potential within the shot.
With almost an open direction this week the CreativeCommon challenge has already produced some really interesting shots.
This shot was used on the Scope 'DigitalDetox' www.thedigitaldetox.co.uk/ National campaign.
Also won a Twitter daily photo competition:

I found it quite hard to think of something for my submission to #FlickrFriday this week. So I decided to pay back all the years of free language lessons Flickr have bestowed on its members over the last nine years.
Google translator helped with the translations so I hope they are all correct…but can't guarantee it :-)

For the FlickrFriday Euphoria theme I decided to go with the feeling of Euphoria found on a cold autumn evening from relaxing with a hot milky drink and the joy of dunking an Oreo (or your equivalent choice). Just make sure you time your dunk, or risk a spongy soggy surprise in the bottom of your mug.
For this week's challenge entitled 'IcebergAhead' I went for a quick abstract shot of Iceberg lettuce floating around in my bath with a bunch of ice cubes.

Tornado GR4 - from XV(R) SQN Lossiemouth. Part of a role demo, this was a lucky shot as it past in front of a simulated explosion. Photoshop + filters helped the shot with black levels and colour balance. Gave it a HDR feel. Let me know what you think!
All the best to all you Flickrinos and your families in this holiday season, hope you have plenty of holiday joy and a great 2014.
Regarding the photo, it took a while to get the Flickr corporate colours in the background bokeh, but I think it was worth it. The happy snowman embodies the photo’s title ‘tree of joy’ #12DaysofFlickr.
This week's FlickrFriday challenge was entitled 'Yellow'. Luckily for me a large queen wasp decided to pay a quick visit to my place today. So I took this opportunity to take a shot of this little visitor I think it nicely fits this week's theme.
The Canadian wheelchair racer Michelle Stilwell defended her 200m title at London on the 1st of September.
She is the only female Paralympic athlete to have ever won gold in two separate summer sport events. Caught this photo of her on leaving the venue she was during an interview, she came across as lovely person and she’s a fantastic at her chosen sport.
This was Canada's third Gold of the games.
