i tried to make trance techno with logic studio for practice.
making simple techno music is good practice to understand this complex software.
it is slow, i think. 135 bpm is better for this kind of tune.(this is 128bpm, i think)
i burned it to cd-r, put it on in my car loudly with pioneer sub-woofered stereo and captured with R8 on a tripod.
windows were rolled up half way.
my final purpose is to make crazy ambient techno.
but..... my attention span is very short naturally.
Some neighbors down the block asked me to take some video and photos of their community art project, Tacoma Story Hive. The video seemed naked without music so I also composed the simple piece in the video. More information can be found at:

Well, like I said on the photo of the first setup - the 'studio' needed an overhaul. So I got a keyboard rack (had a hard time finding one that went low enough to place the keyboard at standard grand piano height but this was really close).
And please feel free to check out the recordings of my symphonic rock project to-date (only demos mind you without vocals, symphonic choir or, well, a real orchestra) on reverbnation.
cheers

“Walking with Sara”, è frutto di un anno e mezzo circa di ricerca dei suoni sui brani da me composti.
La scelta di strumenti acustici, come viola, violino, percussioni e pianoforte hanno dato calore ad un progetto dove è forte la presenza dell’elettronica.
Le riprese audio e il mastering del cd sono state fatte nei seguenti studi di registrazione:
- “White Noise” Home recording – Roma;
- “Poppins – House” Recording studio e Scuola di musica di Leonardo D’Angelo – Roma;
- Gabriele Barettin: Hammond, Fender Rhodes e Synth;
- Pino Caronia: Viola e Violino;
- Bruno Valente: Programmazione Drum machine su “Spielen sex zu haben”;
- Marco Biancolella: Programmazione, Arrangiamenti, Composizione, Basso, Synth e Chitarre.
“RIC-S01 R, RIC01-A” con jack “Amphenol” e “Switchcraft”, “droptune” Morpheus, “TRI-MOD WAH” Source Audio, “Classic Distortion Pro” Source Audio, “MPX 100” Lexicon, “Voodu Valve” valve station - ROCKTRON, Wah Wah “Jimi Hendrix” Mod. Dunlop, Turbo Rat, “Turbo Over Drive” Boss, “Real Tube” Tube Works, “CS-3” Boss, “ICE BOX” Stereo chorus – DOD, “AC30” Vox, “Studio 22” Mesaboogie.
2 “Red Box Classic” Speaker Simulator Hughes & Kettner.
Scheda Audio “US-144mkII” Tascam.
Chitarre:
“Super Swede, Select Swede” Hagstrom e “Paul Red Smith Custom shop”.
Earlier today, @MMFlint Tweeted "Time to walk. Let's go! Tweet pix of your walk..." However, unbeknownst to him, the bottom had fallen out of the sky 'round these parts. So, I waited a bit, then went walking.
Apple's attention to detail even goes as far as the design for their pro software dongles — in this case for the Logic Pro audio/MIDI sequencer.
The one on the left is the original Emagic dongle: transparent blue and with a few curves thrown in. The one on the right is the new Apple design: plain white and ultra-simplistic.
As a side note: Emagic was a very design-conscious company, too. so Apple's acquisition of the iconic German audio/MIDI software maker makes sense beyond getting access to Emagic's core software engineering know-how.
Sure, it's my work's copy, but still...
And, not to brag, but my shiny new Mac Pro arrives in 12 days! (It's just like the 12 days of Christmas around here.)
