an old logic probe that I built as a kid (when I was 13 or 14). all built by hand using 'junk' parts. after all these years, it still works!
From an old notebook my grandfather gave me. This came from a series of magazine articles by William S. Bennett in the 1960s.
Flipstick logic. I actually understood this somewhat in the ten minutes I spent at the display. Regular logic is still easier, though.
This is an iMac G5 I got for free from a client. It had blown capacitors on the logic board, a common issue with this model but no longer covered under warranty. The cost of a replacement from Apple is nearly $800, I spent about $1.50 in new capacitors and this machine is working fine now.
How long it takes to cut and engrave all the letters and parentheses for one set. A REALLY long time.

so jay, stops me on my way into the house yesterday. "haaay josh (haha), you gotta come over here and bring a camera or somethin'" so without even asking why, i ran to get my camera, figuring, "this has got to be good." as i get back outside he's waiting for me on the sidewalk, "you're not going to believe this, maan. i swear to GOD, i did NOT set this up," and he shows me the lighter. stuck in the bricks. "i tossed the lighter from over there, and it just stuck there, in the bricks." i've seen many things happen on this block, but nothing like this before. absolutely nothing.
