When working with nodes it can be helpful to use a tree structure to organize your thoughts. But it's important to remember that all systems have complexity and multiple possible relationships, and your tree is only one of many possible trees.

I have one of those USB-based logic analyzers that needs Windows software to make it go. I had been doing Windows-in-a-window with VMWare, but it's kind of a pain. If I were to use a real Windows laptop, I'd need a shelf or something for it. I wanted it above my oscilloscope, which meant a laptop stand that was taller and wider than most. Time for the laser cutter!
This is made from 1/4" (0.20" really) cheapie plywood. I think I paid $10 for a 4'x8' sheet of it.

I recently visited a medium or a tarot card reader.. yes, I admit it. Before we pass judgement on what I do with my personal time and my thoughts on conspiracy theories.. I also have to admit that I believe in the afterlife, ghosts, guides, and other things that are not scientifically proven facts. Which brings me to the idea of "Fuzzy Logic". Fuzzy Logic was explained to me as "a branch of logic designed to allow degrees of imprecision in reasoning and knowledge" .. let's say intuition - that sense you get about something... you just know it, or feel it in your core - no proof but to you it is logical. Those moments when you reach for the phone because you 'know' it is your mother calling, or you get antsy sitting at home and have a strong desire to get in your car to go for a drive because it feels like you need to only to find as you are traveling with no destination in mind you run into your partner who's car broke down and no cell service, or that sense that you are in the hands of 'god' in a time of need when you cannot do it on your own. None of it makes sense, none of it is logical, and perhaps it should be called 'faith'. Having some faith that we are more than our senses tells us, that we are more than the skin and bones that hold us together, and that we are more than our small world we live in.
The image is about wanting to believe in all that is unseen, but still clinging to those things that can be proven and not trusting....our own fuzzy logic.

This manuscript is one of the three known fifteenth-century copies of a rare vernacular cosmography composed in verse under the title "Image du Monde" (The Mirror of the World) in Lorraine dialect in 1245-46. The manuscript provides descriptions of the seven liberal arts along with astronomical theories especially about the earth, the creatures that inhabit it, and its movements within the universe. Each one of the liberal arts is illustrated with a small miniature in grisaille, and extraordinary geometric astronomical diagrams recur throughout the book. The importance of W.199 is both textual and pictorial. Illuminated by followers of Willem Vrelant, active in Bruges 1454-1481, the manuscript reveals affinity of format and content with a 1464 copy of the Mirror of the World made in Bruges (London, British Library, Royal 19 A.IX).

My logic analyser arrived today from Saleae and now I can finally see what's actually going on with the camera. It hooks up really easily and the software's great, though unfortunately the linux version isn't finished yet. Nevertheless I was able to get some great traces of what the camera's sending and it should hopefully be enough to tweak my code into reading the image properly!
Two somewhat contradictory statements on the same building.
I'm pretty certain Christian theologicians have some clever answer to it, but it seems to me that death being defined as the *permanent* cessation of life is *logically* incompatible with returning from the state of being dead. So either Christ did not die by this definition, or he did something logically impossible. In which case a square circle could just as well have taken away our sins. Simply deanimating and reanimating - while definitely impressive - doesn't quite cut it when compared to being truly dead (since any decade now we are likely going to see cryonics patients repeat the trick, and we already have small animal and tissue models that do it).
Another interesting thing is of course the immortalist position stated here. Many bioconservative arguments against life extension ought to apply to heaven too. Stating that the particular properties of heaven preclude i.e. lack of meaning and achievement implies that such problems might be solvable in the living world too, turning it into a completely empirical question.

Here is a screen shot showing how you can use Mobius AU in Logic with separated multiple looper outputs.
1) Open Mobius AU on an Instrument Track as "MIDI Controlled Effect" in the mode "Multi Output (8xStereo)".
2) In the Mobius AU GUI plug-in window, hold down the mouse button inside the "Side Chain" box (upper right corner) and chose from the drop-down menu the physical input on your audio interface that you want to loop in Mobius.
3) Open the mixer (pressing "x")
4) Click the little "+" on the left side of the mixer in order to create additional Aux Channels.
5) Chose to create seven new stereo Aux Channels.
6) The Mobius plug-in provides the first virtual output (Mobius 1-2). Hold down the mouse button in input slot of the seven aux channel strips and fetch the appropriate virtual Mobius output to each aux channel.

Probably the closest Honolulu will get to sakura, or a cherry blossom tree in full bloom is the Baker's shower tree (Cassia bakeriana) from Thailand.

Fernán Amado fue juzgado por un Tribunal de Honor por haber robado de
la Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito de las Fuerzas Armadas, de la que era presidente y de la cual fue expulsado, ¿qué hizo con los 5.5 millones de dólares sin justificar? ¿con qué grupos económicos esta vinculado?.
No dudó cuando se quiso trazar el saneamiento dentro del Batallón 13 en oponerse, saltándose la cadena de mandos establecida para las fuerzas armadas. Para los especialistas, en este caso lo pertinente era que el general Amado comunicara su decisión al ministro de Defensa Nacional.
La obra tuvo muchas idas y venidas. Amado intentó que no se excavara en zonas denunciadas dentro del cuartel como posibles enterramientos.
La negativa al trazado no tenía más lógica que la impunidad, el ocultamiento. Por tanto Fernán Amado es desaparecedor.
El ex jefe de Inteligencia, general Mario Aguerrondo, había ordenado que se lo tuviera controlado, le colocó micrófonos. La revista Posdata encontró un micrófono-transmisor, un equipo de alta tecnología capaz de captar ruidos y conversaciones y trasmitirlas a un receptor a larga distancia. El caso nunca fue aclarado.
Amado fue quien volvió a vincular al Ejército, a Jorge Pajarito Silveira como miembro de su Estado Mayor Personal. En lugar de entregarlo a la justicia argentina o española: lo condecoró y lo propone como ejemplo para las nuevas generaciones de militares uruguayos.
Los militares de la OCOA, Plan Cóndor, miembros de logias activas vuelven a los días de gloria, durante el segundo mandato de Sanguinetti, cuando Silveira es ascendido al Estado Mayor Personal del nuevo comandante en jefe del Ejército.
La noticia de esa designación, mantenida en secreto por el gobierno, aparecida en abril de 1996, provoca amenazas de muerte y seguimientos. Silveira, era la mano derecha de Amado e interviene en el negocio de la compra de armamento, fue el oficial que mayor amparo recibió del poder político. Amado no esconde esa particular predilección por los militares más activos en el terrorismo de Estado. Los gobernantes civiles hasta ahora han elegido a esos torturadores como sus colaboradores. ¿Es un chantaje por historias terroristas comunes? ¿Es para que guarden silencio?. Silencio que protege evidentemente a muchos de ellos.
Aunque Amado, se decía, era un hombre de Jorge Batlle, el decreto fue firmado por el entonces presidente Julio María Sanguinetti. Amado confiaba en las habilidades de negociador de Silveira: había sido, en el período en que el general era responsable del servicio de compras del Ejército, el vínculo con el empresario Igor Svetogorsky, intermediario en la compraventa de armas para las Fuerzas Armadas. Su calidad de "enlace" para la formalización de negocios estrechó sus vínculos dentro del Partido Colorado, donde contaba con dos puntales de apoyo, el senador Pablo Millor y el diputado Daniel García Pintos. Todos ellos solían compartir asados, en compañía del dirigente colorado y ex presidente del Banco de Seguros Alberto Iglesias. Los vínculos se mantuvieron cuando los vaivenes políticos colocaron a algunos de los referentes del coronel Silveira en el Foro Batllista. También mantuvo vínculos con el ex legislador de la Cruzada 94 Armando da Silva Tavares, con quien se asoció para negocios de importación y exportación.
¿Que se merece Amado? Condena social. Repudio. Que se le quite todo lo que robó. Que no viva en la riqueza y la impunidad.
Basta de corruptos, ladrones y asesinos de estado.
Que nadie más le permita hablar en nombre del estúpido honor militar.
La memoria la condena. Este Escrache la condena.
Abajo los impunes. Arriba la memoria. Ahora Justicia

Anche se l'inverno ci sta seguendo con un profondo respiro freddo il
"Post it Up" sarà abbastanza caldo grazie alle nuove opere inviate da artisti di tutto il mondo!
Siete tutti invitati alla terza edizione di questo evento pressoché unico nel genere,

Tutti i lavori sono rappresentativi dei più disparati significati ma di sicuro privi dell'egoismo spesso imposto da un possibile lucro.

Today is the National Day of Reason, so I'm celebrating by sharing these logic cookies that I made last night. They include a variety of symbols from the fields of symbolic logic, set theory, boolean algebra, algebraic logic, and other fields. (and I had to throw in Gottfried Leibniz's integral symbol and Leonhard Euler's summation Sigma!)
