I myself do not know why i like such subjects... But i enjoy the effort that i put in to get these on the final media.... even if sometimes these are not too good on the web.

Taken while on the Blogger Photowalk tour of Abraham Lincoln sites in Springfield, Illinois.

I was invited by a fellow Central Illinois blogger "Henny Penny" of central-illinois.blogspot.com/ to attend the blogger's tour. We started out at 10AM at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum alplm.org/ , then had lunch at the wild and crazy "Pizza Machine" restaurant, where the 4 foot pizza is brought to your table via an overhead crane and winch. After that delicious repast, we split up into two groups. I went with the guided story tour of several sites, full of ghost tales and interesting stories that brought the history to life. The other group toured the Lincoln Home and the Old State Capitol, both the actual buildings of the Lincoln period which have been restored. We finished the tour with refreshments at Pease's candy shop.

I had fun and learned a thing or two from my fellow bloggers, the hosts, and the wonderful tour guide. It's amazing what rich stories of history are in this my hometown, Springfield, Illinois. I hope that you get a chance to come visit one day.
