(133/365) As we walked into our local pub (which happens to be called "The Local") on Sunday the light from this window caught my eye.

A Bestway Cleaners location in East York. The Bestway name has been associated with neighbourhood dry cleaning in Toronto since at least the late 1960s, with other long-running locations serving the city for decades.

Street scene in downtown Santarém, near the Tapajós river dock. On the left, the local shop "Mercente Mangote" stands out with its bright Coca-Cola signage, a symbol of everyday life. On the right, a yellow and white church rises above the street, representing spiritual presence in the heart of the city. Overhead wires, blue sky, and contrasting architecture capture the vibrant and diverse rhythm of Amazonian urban life.

Rua Mouzinho de Albuquerque, em Miranda do Douro, captada ao anoitecer. A iluminação dos candeeiros e o céu crepuscular conferem um ambiente acolhedor, enquanto os estabelecimentos e o movimento das pessoas destacam o dinamismo desta rua central da vila.
An other picture of this local store - with a bit of sun and, perhaps, a more interesting sky. Again, an Astia emulation (with HaldCLUT), which I quite like (at the moment) - it tones down the greens.
A local shop for local people!! 😄
This composition of a bleak, ruined farmhouse in Cwm Pennant reminded me so much of The League of Gentlemen's 'Local Shop'.

Estes espaços híbridos funcionam como mercearias, garrafeiras e lojas de recordações, atendendo tanto residentes quanto turistas. A fachada, geralmente em tons pastel e adornada com limoeiros, exibe cachos de limões e cerâmicas artesanais, elementos emblemáticos da região, incluindo as populares "teste di moro". A oferta de produtos locais é variada: desde o famoso limoncello, feito com o limão Sfusato Amalfitano IGP, até vinhos regionais, cerâmica de Vietri sul Mare e outras especialidades gastronómicas da Campânia. Estes estabelecimentos refletem a identidade comercial da vila, outrora focada na exportação de produtos agrícolas e agora adaptada ao turismo.
In Positano, on the stunning Amalfi Coast, local delicatessens represent a meeting point between tradition and commerce.
