I spent a day at the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center in Divide Colorado last friday. What a fantastic place. The owners work very hard to provide not only for Wolves but also Coyotes, Foxes and even an abused Donkey and it's baby a wonderful home to live their lives out. Each pair of animals has an open enclosure of several acres to roam around in. Watching these apex animals move around so effortlessly was magical. This is a female Alaskan Wolf and she probably weighs around 130 pounds
Stego and I think that's the Edmontosaurus hiding behind it there.
Another trip back to Lobo's and I took some more photos, this time of the Dino Riders cabinet plus other random stuff. Have fun spotting some in the mixed windows :-)
A trip to Carmel, California meant a visit to Point Lobos, and an attempt at some Edward Weston-inspired photos of the famous state park.

My wife and I went to our favourite vintage toy store the other day and I took some pics of some of the toys for sale (there were many more cabinets I didn't photograph but will next time).

Dopped Preston of at the Castle and picked up Strong.. Then Lobo, Strong, and Dogmeat headed to the glowing sea to find Virgil.
There is something special, primal, in observing wild horses in a place where they already existed, before being domesticated. True, throughout the millennia there have been comings and goings, animals have been handled, specimens have come from outside ... but the truth is that even today, in these mountains they still live horses that are born, reproduce and they die in freedom, in their original habitat and subjected to the predation of their natural predator, the wolf. It is definitely a privilege to be able to photograph them. Mountains of Serra do Cando, Galicia, Northern Spain. Natura 2000 Network of the European Union.

Hay algo especial, primigenio, en observar caballos salvajes en un lugar donde ya existian, antes de ser domesticados.
Cierto, a lo largo de los milenios ha habido idas y venidas, los animales han sido manejados, han venido ejemplares de fuera... pero lo cierto es que aun hoy en dia, en estas montañas siguen viviendo caballos que nacen, se reproducen y mueren en libertad, en su habitat original y sometidos a la depredación de su depredador natural, el lobo. Definitivamente, es un privilegio poder fotografiarlos.

A rather good day at Coyote Summit for Red Flag 15-1. This South Dakota "Lobos" F-16C (88-0422) along with an Aviano, Italy based F-16C (89-2024) came into the valley single file at just above eye level.
In addition to these, we saw quite a few of the Vermont "Green Mountain Boys" F-16's, Marine F-18's, Aggressor F-15 & F-16's, RAF Typhoons, just to name a few.
We were even able to see the Thunderbirds practicing way off on the horizon. I didn't realize you could see Indian Springs air space from Coyote Summit!
My cousin "El Picosito" and his wife are visiting, so we headed out for the weekend to Monterey and Carmel. This is our first stop: Point Lobos State Reserve
