Este gran mamífero marino que, por lo general, vive en el agua al estar su alimentación basada en peces, también necesita salir a tierra a procrear. Sus extremidades, transformadas en aletas para ganar agilidad en el agua, les permiten unos torpes movimientos en el medio terrestre. Tienen una gruesa capa de pelo impermeable y otra subcutánea de grasa, lo que les permite conservar el calor en ambientes fríos. Los machos de lobos marinos llegan a medir casi tres metros de largo, y presentan pelo más largo y robusto alrededor de la cabeza. Se encuentra a lo largo de toda la costa chilena.
se acaba de prohibir la caza del lobo en toda España. Esto que en principio puede parecer una buena noticia, sin embargo el radicalismo de las dos partes implicadas, creo que vá a producir el efecto contrario. Ojalá me equivoque ¡¡
