The TGV (Train à Grande Vitesse, French for "high-speed train") is France's high-speed rail service, currently operated by VFE, the long-distance rail branch of SNCF, the French national rail operator. It was developed during the 1970s by GEC-Alsthom (now Alstom) and SNCF, and is now operated primarily by SNCF. Although originally designed to be powered by gas turbines, the TGV prototypes evolved into electric trains. Following the inaugural TGV service between Paris and Lyon in 1981, the TGV network, centered on Paris, has expanded to connect cities across France and in adjacent countries. A TGV test train set the record for the fastest wheeled train, reaching 574.8 km/h (357 mph) on 3 April 2007, and a TGV service holds the record for the fastest scheduled rail journey with a start to stop average speed of 279.4 km/h.

Here's our KAP (Kite Aerial Photography) rig for the KAPing with the N900 project. Check out the blog.
This is how our KAP project works: we launch our big kite and let go some line (about 20m). We start our software on both N900s, open the lens cover on one of them and insert it in the rig as shown (we will use velcro to keep it in place). Then we attach the green hangers to the line of our kite and let if fly! The N900 on the right works as both a video receiver and controller: it shows the live video feed from the N900 on the kite, and it will also move the camera (pan and tilt) as you tilt the device.
I still need to fix and add some details, specially the Arduino and battery...

Este é nosso berço para KAP (Fotografia Aérea com Pipa). Confira as outras fotos do nosso projeto KAPing with the N900. Mais informações (em inglês) disponíveis no blog.
O sistema funciona assim: soltamos uma pipa grande, feita de nylon, e deixamos ela subir uns 20m. Iniciamos o programa que escrevi em ambos N900s, abrimos o compartimento da lente de um deles e inserimos no berço como aparece na foto (usaremos velcro para mantê-lo firme no lugar). Depois prendemos o sistema na linha da pipa usando os ganchos verdes, e soltamos mais linha! O N900 à direita funciona como receptor de vídeo e controlador: ele exibe o vídeo do N900 na pipa, e quando girá-lo, enviará sinais para os motores girarem o N900 preso à pipa.
Ainda preciso ajustar alguns detalhes, como o acondicionamento do circuito eletrônico (Arduino) e bateria, que não aparecem na foto...
