October 2010 Murray, Utah. One of three live multi-band All-Ages events I shot. This is a member of the Rock-Ska band Storming Stages and Stereos. Got the opportunity to shoot from stage a few times. Before kick-off of the UEFA Nations League match between Belgium and France, the stands of the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels turn into a vast black, yellow and red mosaic. The giant “BELGIUM” tifo displayed by the supporters reflects the passion and commitment of a stadium united behind its national team. A spectacular atmosphere where national colours take centre stage alongside the players.
On February 22, 2025, Guggenmusik bands filled the streets of Schwäbisch Gmünd with powerful brass sounds and vibrant energy. Dressed in striking costumes with bold face paint, these musicians brought an electrifying atmosphere to the city. Their synchronized performance, fiery expressions, and golden instruments reflected the true spirit of carnival.
Yet, looking back, this moment is tinged with sadness—one day later, the German federal election took place, and its outcome left me disappointed. A memory of celebration, now clouded by reflection.
About 1/2 hour before the stages started to get crowded. Even the clothes this gentleman wore helped to accentuate his mustache. I love the expression on her face while he acknowledges my presence, on the dance floor, camera in hand.

Unlike the Festival Stage, the Fountain Stage is outdoors and quite a bit smaller... Hard to control the hardness, of the light,
when clouds are sparse and the sun is above you. I also find myself rarely in the middle of the stage, due to the limited space and find myself more, shooting on the perimeter trying to avoid blocking the audience, rather than running into the couples.
The Band: Manny Cepeda Orchestra - (Salsa & Latin) - Currently they play quite a bit around San Diego. They were great. Salsa and Swing are a great mix... mannycepeda.com/
Most of the images taken on the Fountain Stage were developed a bit differently than those under the cover at the Festival Stage. I tried to eliminate the harshness as much as possible.

This is the park entrance to a seasonal recreational area. We have had so much rain in Northern California this Winter, that the Russian River has over run it's banks. Beyond the Ranger Station which has river water swirling around it, you should be able to see a parking lot. It's now under water.

Zydeco from Oakland Ca, or as ""Pete Okie Weiss ," himself said, "the band from the "Other Bay."" Often at Gator, there are groups I am unfamiliar with. This group's performance and Tarah's vocals, is what I will remember most from that day.
