Muse - New Born i think one of the best Muse songs EVER YEAH
See note on image outlining the area that was once known locally as 'Little Blackpool' The area acquired this name due to all the dredged sand laying about the riverbank and was once a very popular leisure spot. Many Prestonians came here for a cheap day out to relax, watch the river traffic go by and play in the sand rather than go to the expense of traveling further west to the big resort.

I'm getting rather fond of the pandas, I have to say - there will definitely be more appearing in the run up to Christmas!

Eclectus (Male), Victoria Butterfly World. Little E likes to land and perch on an unsuspecting visitor. Try to get him off.
Wireless transfer from M3 to iPad Air and uploaded to Flickr - OOC.
A small little brook trickling down the hillside on the path down to High Force.
I now remember why I love the tripod for landscapes.
Look at this guy! This is yet another butterfly pic from the archives, and probably my favorite.
Fly little buddy, FLY!
It's that time again. We've been so fortunate to have perennial hibiscus along the front of the house now for probably 15 years, wow I can hardly believe it. They always do so well and add some delightful colors to the yard.
Opened between 1987 and 1988, Uttoxeter is a great example of the classic Little Chef success formula. A roundabout on a busy long distance route on the outskirts of a town to hit as many customers as possible. Plus, plonking a lodge beside it ensured the two could work together to attract even more. That's not to say that life has always been smooth for Uttoxeter. When then owners Permira put Little Chef up for sale in 2004, Uttoxeter was a number of branches closed to streamline the business only to reopen shortly afterwards under new owners PRG.
In 2013, after Travelodge disposed of some sites, the lodge became JCB House, to be used by plant manufacturer JCB to accommodate workers and visitors to their nearby HQ.
Under Granada in the late 90s the site gained a BK. This has now closed and serves as overspill seating for the restaurant
Had a session today and OMG this little girl was the cutest! I cant wait to really get into editing these! I need to sleep though cause back to school tomorrow ick!
Some of you may have seen this before [it made Explore], but I have deleted the original posting in order to re-load it in a higher resolution for a new Group I joined which features photos and videos from Douglas County, Oregon. I will most likely do this again. If you commented before, please don't feel you have to comment again.... :~D Jane.
