Yes, it is a silver (lith) print onto black and white paper, albeit rather special in this case: Kodagraph Transtar.

And for those mobile enthusiasts, who don't get the whole frame, there will be an exposition in Vienna at the end of April - with the real stuff.

Yes, we are getting old and tired my friend (you 19 and me 61 this year). And the light leak of my HB 500C/M (probably due to an, as well, old and tired dark slide light seal (thanks, Alfred!)) doesn't help. As you can see.

Rollei Vintage 332 RC (?) found in a black plastic bag, cut down to 8x8" (who knows how long it has been in there?) and lith printed.

Very unfamiliar process results and outcome for this, so I may be questioning if that's the paper noted on the bag or not (or has it just gotten old?).

A very quick establishment of the print contours already after <30 sec, and then almost nothing happend... On some of the prints there's this wavy cloudlike pattern all over, not bad IMO (but it was not there on the negative).

Conclusion: The Rollei Vintage 332 RC har been aging during the years so it's not a very good lith paper anymore.

Lith Print

Paper: Defender "Velour Black" R-2 glossy 8x10 expired 1949

Developer: Moersch SE5 1:1:10

Toner: None

This paper was extremely fogged and could not be printed normally using standard print developer with a restrainer. However, it works very well in Lith developer. Some prints have uneven development and splotches of fog on the edges. In my opinion the imperfections add to the mood of the images in this series.

Orwo (from old DDR) is a very nice lithable paper with a touch of salmon/pink tones.

This paper (in my newly acquired lot of antique papers) was much better preserved from "the tooth of time" as we say in Swedish.

A lith print ode to my Oregon friend Travis Doane.

Dear Travis,

It's now been 4 years since you sent me this treasure of old lithable papers from big USA to small Sweden. This kind act of yours sends a message to all the world - we belong together and should not fight. And for me it's a treasure of old lithable papers I would never get hold of otherwise. This day I have gone through the remaining papers and - as to my ability - have made prints that are supposed to be as streamlined as possible from a given negative. But of course there's always the influence of "human variability" when it comes to snatch point and so forth...

Anyways, I hope you understand my gratitude for this possibility. Have a great rest of the year 2023, Travis and may we have lith contact for many years to come.

Best/Johan
