Although I seem to be facing the sluice, I'm not in a boat, but at the edge of the bank when I took this shot!

It's the sluice of Homps on the Canal of midi.

A lovely fountain in Derwent Gardens, next to the river in Matlock Bath, Derbyshire.

Lazy summer day lawn watering, if your city and county permit the use of water for lawn sprinkling. 7:15 am and I was about to wrap it up then realized I needed Liquid in Motion, what better than giving life as we move into a string of 100 plus days and NO relief in sight.....67 days until Fall Equinox and counting, surely rain will come before then!!

My attempt at the "Crazy Tuesday" theme "Liquid in Motion".

Um einen zentralen, ca. 18 Meter hohen Granit-Obelisken gruppieren sich mehrere zum Teil wasserspeiende Bronzefiguren in einem Wasserbecken.

A little experiment with milk, which I will certainly repeat again. Then with a more sophisticated technical structure and a little more time – not so easy ;-) The glass is actually tipped over by pouring and the whole milk has spilled in the garden. The experiment ended abruptly ...

Thanks for taking time to fave, comment and look at my work. I really appreciate.

Water inside the glass is spinning, and the refracted light is bended by the moving liquid.

In my mind, the effect should resemble the gravitational bending of the light near a wormhole (or something of similar), but it was too much difficult to compute the right exposure (and I started too late, this evening). So, this is the best that I have obtained.

I hope that you will like it!

Stay safe and have a nice and happy CrAzY Tuesday, dear friends!!!

This is a beginning portion (lower left) of today's paint pouring project. Different colors of pourable acrylic paint are poured into a cup without mixing. Then the paint in the cup is poured onto the canvas, either all at once or gradually. The canvas is then tipped various directions to spread the paint over the entire canvas. The completed painting can be seen below.

FlickrFriday - How many triangles can you count? Hint don't miss the umbrella.

Crazy Tuesday - Abstract looking, blurred reflection in the moving water.

I was able to capture our friends on a parasail ocean dip with my D3100 and a zoom lens. I wasn't going to participate this week due to being on vacation/holiday, but got lucky with this week's Crazy Tuesday's theme "Liquid in motion". The expressions are priceless...zoom in to see them.

Well, it turns out our 5 month old Layla is a water baby. She just loves the stuff. We bought her one of those little doggy pools for the garden and she is sooooooo happy jumping in and out, blowing bubbles and chasing the spray that comes out the hose to fill it. Summer fun :)

Another capture from a Baker-Hunt Photography Class in Covington, Kentucky. It was a hoot.

Crazy Tuesday - Liquid in Motion

A single drop of blue food colouring dripped from an ear dropper from a height of about 50cm into the centre of a little clear plastic cup filled to the brim with clear water. Then it is just a matter of timing……..

What fun this was. Take a baking tray full of water. Add plenty of light. Set camera on tripod and point towards water. Grab a soup skimmer and move it about under the area where the lens is pointing. When the time is right...click.

I was like a little kid playing with water in the sink.

Love the results.
